My Magic Chef one and a half pound breadmaker works just as great today as it did when it was new. It has NEVER failed me.
I still have the owner's manual / recipe book and the directions are simple and easy to follow. BUT. I also I use other bread maker recipes and regular bread recipes as well. You can add fresh oats, sesame, sunflower or poppy seeds to almost any recipe and it tastes wonderful and adds fiber to your diet.
