Wow, I haven't blogged in a long time. Slacker! Not much going on here. Just working and hanging out out Viewpoints. Have a vacation day tomorrow to take my parents to the hospital (my dad is having some test done). Was hoping to do a little geocaching after but the weather doesn't look like it's going to cooperate so it might be a good afternoon to just enjoy a good book. Then Saturday is Halloween! Yay. For the first time I'm turning the lights off and going out instead of giving out candy. Kind of bummed about that but we only get about 5 kids so it's no fun anymore. Have a great weekend. And don't forget to set your clocks back on Saturday night! Boo!

Finally got to 500 reviews.  A new milestone.  Feels good to be writing again.

So the weather here in Michigan has been unREAL!  I'm a huge fan of fall weather but it's still August.  It feels like mid-October. Oh well, it's supposed to warm up and get back to summer again by week's end.  Can't wait!  We went to the cider mill today.  That's just so wrong.

I am loving the new VIP Reputation system on Viewpoints. Love seeing the rainbow of badges on everyone's profiles.

Only 310 more reads til I hit 200,000 reads of my reviews!  Not sure why that is so exciting, but it just tickles me pink to think that someone has read what I have to say 200,000 times.  Well not just one someone, but lots of someones.  Thanks!

So I went to the dentist yesterday and my hygienist and dentist were not amused. They said I'm a killer tooth brusher but I need to floss more. Yeah, I'm a lazy flosser. I think I'd have better luck flossing if she would just come home with me and do it for me every day. So look for lots of reviews soon about the four different kinds of floss she gave me to try. Yep, that's right. Four.

When I started out using the internet I quickly became addicted.  I loved having the world at my fingertips.  Anything I needed to know I could find out with a few keystrokes and a little reading.  Soon after came message boards, social media, and sites where I could write and contribute to the gobs of good stuff out there for the world to see. 

When I started writing online reviews three years ago, I was so happy to have a space to share my opinion with others but never dreamed that I'd have the opportunity to contribute to and help shape a new site called Viewpoints, let alone be sitting right here right now as an actual employee of this great company.  I'm still pinching myself and am very proud and excited to be here!

Finally added a new profile photo. I was getting tired of the pale skin picture from Christmas time so I had this one taken today. It doesn't get any more recent than that!

Wow, it's been a long time since I've updated my blog. Been a lot going on here.  I've been out of work for about 6 weeks and my husband had to take a 20% pay cut.  So the recession/depression has hit us hard.  As a result I'm not buying anything new unless it's a necessity and have not had much to write about.

However the lovely weather of late has me inspired to tell you about the inexpensive things that I've tried that were in my stash or that I've bought recently. As much as I love to treat myself with high end cosmetics and beauty products there are many inexpensive items out there that are just as good as the expensive stuff.

So no more Philosophy, a moratorium on LUSH, staying far, far away from Sephora. Let's see what I can come up with!
