Nightmare before christmas is a dark movie that is mainly for adults and older children. both can enjoy the animation and music but as a small child the main draw is the music.  I personally don't understand the "cult following this movie has as i am one of the people that really can't stand it.   I had trouble keeping interest in this flick and to tell the truth i couldn't stay awake the first four or five times i attempted to watch the video.
