We purchased BornFree BPA free bottles as a result of reading that there is a concern over BPA plastic in bottles (baby, water, food products, etcetera). We are not the type to get too worked up about what comes out in the media, but in this instance we weren't willing to let our baby drink out of a bottle that is potentially harmful while another "study" was conducted. We instead, decided it was better to be safe than sorry. We like this bottle a lot - we have only had it leak one time and it was because we put it together wrong.
