    If you need a counter-depth fridge you'll have limited options to begin with. But before you cave on the only one Sears or whoever has that day, shop around. Otherwise you'll spend a butt-load of money on a fridge with an ice-maker that jams 2-3 times a week and occasionally craps out for a year.

    We'd had the Whirlpool Gold DesignerFit for about a year when it stopped making ice. Warrantee had just expired, of course. So I put off fixing on the theory that I didn't want to spend $150 to fix a relatively new icemaker.
