When my son was still in school, reading was not his strong point. But he loved games, so I got this deluxe Scrabble to play with him.  We had to bend the rules......he could use a dictionary to challenge me and he wouldn't lose points if he made a mistake.  The funniest was when he would "sneak" the dictionary to his room to "study" words to beat me, and the pride he experienced when he DID in fact beat me made me even happier than he was.  As a grown man he continues to beat me, legitimately this time with no dictionary help, which is quite an accomplishment, since I am a writer and graduated...
