I used to think life was something that ended too quickly, that I would be wasting my time doing much of anything but whatever I did wouldn't matter if I died tomorrow. Today my mother received this Christian newsletter in the mail and on the off chance, I just picked it up and started reading. This famous Christian editorialist wrote this wonderful thing about death and the suffering of life, summing it up in "we are not yet Home." Such a beautiful phrase. Life is meant to be temporary but Heaven last forever, if I spend my time being the woman God wants to be, I'll still suffer and mourn here but when I get Home, all will end. What a wonderful promise.
