Thanks! Yes, I looked at the print market a few years back when I was gathering everything up from old notebooks. Most publishers won't accept more than 9-10 poems at a time and each house is VERY specific about what they do or don't want. I personally think it takes about thirty poems to get to know a poet well enough to form an impression and I wasn't willing to part them out all over the place. To me, it may not seem like certain poems interact but they do and it's a case of a "the parts are nothing without the whole" thing with me.

As long as they aren't just sitting in a folder under a bed doing nothing, I'm happy. Before long my niece Cadie and my nephew Evan, both huge readers and writers, will be old enough to read them and that will be very rewarding for me. Evan already thinks I'm a genious so getting his reaction will be fun. He's the genious, not me, all I've got to offer is a pretty decent imagination and years of living with pen in hand.

I left a Veteran's Day poem today if you get a chance. It's actually very uplifting, if you can believe that!
