Wow! I feel like a famous person! Not only has VP presented me as a featured contributor on the home page, but Jolie talked about me on the community blog! Yay! I am having loads of fun as part of the Viewpoints family...what a great way to share thoughts and experiences through the products we use on a daily basis.
On a more serious note, I was recently laid-off from my job as an executive recruiter. Though I did love the fast-paced atmosphere and the camaraderie between myself and my colleagues, I truly see my job loss as a blessing in disguise. Now I have the time and energy to look for a career that genuinely suits me, not just a "job." I'm using my time to my advantage - the key in any sad experience to to take your mind off of it by doing something you really enjoy. I've made a commitment to get in shape by exercising and eating right...two things I have really slacked on since the summertime.
I used to be a really negative person. I always saw the glass as half-empty and I am making strides in changing the way I think. The big 3-uh-oh is right about the bend for me and I am so ready to leave the baggage of my 20's behind. Life is too short to dwell on the things we cannot change...just gotta deal with it and move on! Yeah, baby!
Sincerely,
Julie
Hi there! My name is Julie and I have been married for 4 years to Jim, the love of my life! We live in Mentor, Ohio with a psychotic kitty named Danger and Yukon, a very hungry German Shepherd. My grandmother-in-law also lives with us and we enjoy caring for her and eating her very delicious home-cooking.
After a month of being a member of VP, I find myself really enjoying the reviews of others. I wish I had discovered this site before making many of the purchases I have made in the past! Oh well, we win some, we lose some!
Take care,
Julie
