I literally stumbled upon About.com when searching for POP & SMTP settings for Gmail using Outlook Express or Windows Live Mail. The instructions came as a list one could follow, or "step-by-step" instructions - one web page at a time. I hate web based email applications. Always too much garbage tossed in; advertisements, links to other sites, etc.
About.com can also give you reviews & opinions on music, food, cars - right down to money saving tips for attending a college BCS Bowl Game. I read up on their comaprison of the new Ford F-150 vs other pick-up trucks. It gave side by side comparisons to the Chevy Silverado, the Dodge Ram, and the Toyota Tundra. And the winner is...see for yourself.
How about Top 10 Ten Winter and Holiday Beer Recommendations? It's on there. Personally, I'll stick with Hot Chocolate & Coffee in the Winter.
