Zyrtec-D Allergy Medicine Review

Zrytec D is an over the counter allergy medicine that is available in any store that has a pharmacy. It is pricey. Twelve capsules cost around $15.00. The capsules are only effective for twelve hours, so users would have to take two capsules per day for full allergy relief. Also, in order to purchase this item at your local drugstore or supermarket, you must take the item tag off the shelf and take it to the in-store pharmacy. If you are shopping at Wal-Mart, this means that you will have to be entered into the pharmacy database (time consuming) and will have to purchase the medicine separate from your other items at the pharmacy counter.  

If you do not have to have a decongestant in you allergy medication, the 24 hour regular Zrytec is a better buy. It really works for 24 hours, so it ends up costing much less. If decongestant is necessary, I would suggest finding a prescription allergy medication that your insurance will cover.
