Zone bars are a very delicious protein bar and they come in a number of really good flavors. This almond one is one of my favorites, though the other varieties are good too. I think they are good to fill you up if you are on the go, I can easily carry one in my purse for when I am feeling hungry.

I buy lots of zone perfect nutrition bars. I love them. They make several different flavors and they all taste great. Two things that attracted me to this flavor is that I love dark chocolate and I like almonds. But I would recommend either the zone perfect chocolate mint or the fudge graham bars over this one. The reason is that this bar contains less protein and fiber than the other flavors. Most of the other flavors contain 14g of protein and 3g of fiber. The Dark Chocolate Almond bars only have 12g of protein and 2g of fiber. These bars also have the same 19 essential vitamins and minerals that the others do, but again usually in slightly lower quantities. The sugar content of this bar is 13g, which is a little higher than I like but the same amount as most of the other zone perfect bars. I think the reason that this bar has a little less nutrition content than the other zone perfect bars is that it is slightly smaller and actually has fewer calories: 190 vs. 210. It is all a matter of preference. If you really like dark chocolate and almonds, you will love this bar. But one of the other zone perfect flavors will give you a little more nutrition, fiber and protein for the same price.
