Over the past 20 years I have tried so many medication for anxiety and panic attacts. I have been taking Zolft for the past 7 months now. It has drastically improved my life. I still have anxiety, but not nearly the way I used too. I don't spend all day worrying about silly things. I have 4 yound children... read full review »

About two months ago I was at the doctor's office having my yearly womanly tests and just started crying my eyes out.  Not because of the annoying, invasive tests, but because the questions my doctor had asked me just brought the emotions of a really bad year to the surface.  This, of course, concerned...

I am diagnosed with both depression and anxiety.  Unfortunately one anti-depressant medication was not enough to help with my depression.  After several different attempts at finding the right combination, I ended up on Wellbutrin and Zoloft.  My Zoloft dose has been as high as 150mg. and as low as 50mg.  Once my depression was under control I found the 150mg too high.  It made me very tired and I had a hard time remembering things. The doctor lowered the dose.  A pleasant side effect was how much it helped with my anxiety.  I've been taking it for more than a year and as long as the dose... read full review »

I was one of those miserable, angry,at the world people, for no good reason. My earliest memories are filled with gloom and hate. Now, looking back on my life, I don't know how my family put up with me.I was always fighting mad.

Anyway, after my father died when I was 40,my doctor put me on Zoloft. I didn't notice any difference in my temperament for the first 4 months. My boss noticed first, saying that I wasn't as sarcastic and short with customers. Then my boyfriend said that I wasn't "so snappy" anymore.

If anyone would have told me that medicine can change the way I think,I would have...

Zoloft is a another excellent medication for not only depression, but mood swings also. My husband was going crazy with me over my moods. We argued a lot. We talked to my Internist about this problem and she told me to take Zoloft. After a few weeks I was a different person! I took it for several years without any problems. It is a wonder drug if you suffer from this problem.

I must admit I'm not the biggest fan of SSRIs. I think my reluctance to take this type of medication is the result of not having depression, but an anxiety disorder. Prior to taking Zoloft, I was on Luxox, or fluvoxamine, which I found to be incredibly ineffective for anxiety. After a month of bad dry mouth, restlessness, and insomnia, I decided to go back to my doctor to discuss alternative treatments.

That's when I was introduced to Zoloft, an SSRI commonly prescribed to individuals for anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), etc. Given...

I've been taking Zoloft for about 3 months at 200mg a day, for depression. With Zoloft at first the side-effects were tough. My jaw was extremely tight and achy. I had to buy a mouth guard which did help relieve the pressure some. Luckily that side-effect only lasted for about the first week. Also, I was having sexual side-effects. Lacking desire, and the inability to achieve orgasm. I decided to try taking my pills in themorning, rather than at night like I had been doing. After a couple of days past on with my new schedule, the sexual side effects subsided and I'm back to normal with that....

I've been taking Zoloft for almost 5 years now.  I tried 2 other medications before this one and they both left me in a fog.  I was tired all the time, couldn't function.  The depression was gone but so was every other emotion.  Zoloft is different.  I feel like a normal person now.  For the first time in my life I have normal emotions.  I don't have to live in fear of how I'm going to react to the daily stresses of life.  My husband and I are seperated right now and I people have commented on how well I'm dealing with it.  Little do they know, I would probably not be able to get out of... read full review »

I was given Zoloft when I was 16 for depression. It did't help. Then I was given it again for post partum depression. Still didn't work. From what I hear, the effects vary between people, however, the only thing that it did for me was make me paranoid and sleepy.

Zoloft has been an absolute lifesaver for me.  I have been on the medication about 10 years.  Before starting Zoloft - every little thing got under my skin and made me mad.  I had no patience for my children, and when I lost my temper I would be screaming at the top of my lungs.  They started me off on the lower doses of the medicine (25 mg.) but over time the dosage has increased to 200 mg. a day.  That may seem like a lot, but I'm a different person when taking the medicine - don't argue my point, more patience for my kids.  When my husband or kids start to argue with me, instead of trying...

after having anxiety and depression zoloft really helped me out alot after about three weeks of taken zoloft I no longer have anxiety attacks. I am still taken zoloft for my depression and I have been on it for almost a year now. I have not had any bad side effects with this medication only good side effects. My doctor is slowly down sizeing my miligrams and soon by next year I should be coming off of the medication. If you are really suffering with these symptoms as I was then this medication is really good for you so talk to your Doctor and see if it is right for you

I have been taking Zoloft for 3 years now and it has completely stabilized the depressive phase of my bi-polar. I am on a relatively small dose of Zoloft (25 mg/daily) and, in combination with other drugs, it has eliminated most of my depressive phases. My mother also began taking Zoloft for depression based on my success with the medicine. Zoloft has also been helpful for her. I have not noticed any side affects in the three years I have been taking Zoloft. I would recommend speaking with your doctor about the possibility of Zoloft helping you as well.

This medicine works wonders with me. Just a couple of days after starting on Zoloft I was a totally different person. I have been on Zoloft for 8 years now and would not want to change. The problems I find with Zoloft is a low sex drive and weight gain. I am still on Zoloft because I feel the benefits outweigh the side effects.

life is a little easier to deal with, if you are curious ask your physician. Less anxiety or not being as bummed out. This can be helpful.
