Cute Pop Maker - Didn't last long

3

This popsicle maker is such a cute concept and loads of fun while it's functional. We enjoyed making various pops for several months until the main part failed. It came apart at the top joint while in the freezer and we had a mess of freeze gel everywhere. The pops are fun to create and dream up different options, but the fact that it didn't last long was a huge disappointment. We did like the accessory kit available for separate purchase, which allowed for easy and fun ways to enhance your basic pops. Some of the ingredients called for were hard to come by, however the pop maker readily accepted various juices and added fresh fruit to simplify the process. I really wish this pop maker would have lasted longer. It's not cheap in cost or quality when brand new, but for the price point I did have expectations that it would have a longer useful life. We will look for other alternatives for making pops that aren't as expensive and may hold up better.

Fun and refreshing

This little popsicle maker works great, you just place the mold in the freezer and wait til it is frozen solid, then put in your sticks, pour in your chilled popsicle mix, and wait about 10 minutes. They come out really easily with the orange removal tool. That thing was pretty genius, it screws into the end of the popsicle stick until the popsicle comes away from the sides, then it just pulls out super easy. I love making what I would normally eat as a smoothie and putting it in here instead to make smoothie popsicles. So good. The only downside to this is that I'm not convinced it is the best shape for a popsicle to be in. If they were more narrow they would be easier to eat, but otherwise this is a great and quick popsicle maker. It even comes with little cup things to place on the bottom of the popsicle stick to help with dripping. Zoku thought of everything with this little guy.

Fun easy Pop maker

I received this as a gift one year and I love it. It is really simple to use and makes the Popsicles really quick. With this you can make whatever you want to because there is no end to the possibilities. By buying your own ingredients you choose what goes in and how healthy it is. I got the recipe book that came with it and it has fruit flavors, chocolate desserts, coffee pops, yogurt breakfast pops, absolutely anything you can think of can become a pop! It is great to have around in the summer for a quick and easy treat or snack depending on what is in it. All you do is put the stick in, pour the mixture, wait a couple of minutes and pull it out! So simple even kids can do it! The only thing to watch out for is filling it up past the fill line, if it is filled too much the pop won't come out and you have to let it thaw and pour it out which can take quite a while. But after a couple of practice round, it was good!

A fun product for kids

3

I bought this Popsicle maker on a whim one day when I was super hot and 7 months pregnant. It has been a fun product to use as a family and with children, but it really isn't an appliance I use all the time. In fact it is in my storage right now, because I just don't have space in my kitchen for it. Having said that, it is really easy to use and a lot of fun if you have time for it. You freeze the outside mold portion for 24 hours to get it nice and cold to be able to set the Popsicle. Then you decide on a recipe and pour it into the mold with the stick once it has been frozen long enough. It takes about 8-10 minutes for the Popsicle to freeze and you can usually get one or two more sets of Popsicles made after the first set. But do know that it takes longer for the later sets of Popsicles to freeze because the unit isn't as cold. The Zoku is also very easy to clean and store. I do think the price for this product is a little high for what it does. However if you can find it on a good sale it definitely is a fun activity to do with kids.

awesome pop maker!

we purchased this item last summer for our children. we had been purchasing fruit bars from the local grocery stores and decided we could make our own cheaper version. we bought this from amazon and also purchased some extra sticks. we make a smoothie mix and then use that to make the pops. the zoku goes into the freezer to freeze the liquid inside. to make the pops you pour the liquid into the slots after first putting in the stick. after 9 minutes the liquid is frozen. there is a special orange tool to pull the pop out and then you can put on the drip guard. our sons loved having their very own home made popsicles over the summer and of course since we made them with all natural ingredients they were really healthy too.

Expensive, but so cool!!

Yes, this is expensive for a popsicle maker...but if you follow the directions right, you can make the coolest, perfectly formed popsicles. You MUST thoroughly read the directions and follow them correctly. You must freeze the unit for 24 hrs. before using. We have made all kinds of popsicles, including ones with stripes of different flavors. The kids LOVE it, and okay...I do too!

AWESOME!!

This gadget is awesome! My kids love popsicles and I love feeding them things that are good for them. There are a ton of ZOKU specific recipes and recipe books out there, but really any popsicle recipe works. Easy and works just like it is advertised to do.

AWESOME

Popsicles go fast at our house. My mom gave me the Zoki Quick pop maker. They really are done fast. Our favorite is to make pudding pops! We haven't tried all of the recipes yet - I like the fact that I can control the ingredients and sneak a few servings of yogurt/fruit into my families diets without them really ever noticing! Worth picking one up if your family likes popsicles!

Worked just a short time

Got two of these as a gift and really enjoyed using them for the first 5 or 6 times. But, then one wouldn't make the popsicles anymore because the sticks won't stick to the frozen mixture, they just fall off. Emailed the company twice asking for advice or if it should be returned to the store or the company and never got an answer. So, it sits on the shelf. Cannot figure out why one works right and the other one doesn't since it is such an easy way to make the frozen treats,

Fun to use for kids, if you are not concerned with calories

It makes a nice pop, but you cannot make anything that is sugar free or low calorie treat I received thisvasca gift, since it came from my daughter, I did not return it. I would like this item if I could use a sugar free mixture. I did try a low calorie drink mix, but it stuck and required much effort it then clean it.
