Little Black Dress Workout- Is average.

Comments about Zoe Lucker's Little Black Dress Workout Zoe Lucker's Little Black Dress Workout:

This workout video features Zoe and her trainer. Following this workout will supposedly result in a new body that will look fabulous in a little black dress.

There are 5 sections each around 10 minutes:

1. Warm Up- This is pretty basic. Side steps, squats, lunges, and various moves to get your body ready for exercise.

2. Dance- This was a fun section that got my heart going a bit and left me feeling upbeat and ready to workout some more. Camera movement and odd angles made this section harder than necessary. The moves aren't all that difficult but I wasn't familiar with all of them when I started so I was counting on watching them to learn how to do each move correctly. The camera would zoom in then out and it was distracting. Fitness videos are not the place for creative camera angles. At times all you can see is a pair of feet moving. When learning a new dance it helps to see the legs, torso, and well the entire body those feet are attached to.

3. Boxing- This section was the most cardio intensive. With lots of punches, kicks and squats packed in to 10 minutes I felt like I was finally burning some calories. Zoe seemed to have run out of energy part way through this work out (whether she was faking or not doesn't much matter) and her trainer kept asking if she could handle just 4 more reps. Between that and close ups of Zoe's face (more creative camera angles) I lost a bit of my drive. What I like about workout videos is the motivation. It's not just me running on a treadmill. There are others striving to make it through the workout just like me.

4. Toning- This section contains a variety of push-up and sit-up maneuvers. I have only done this section twice. It's too close to yoga/pilate type moves for me. I hate stretching and normally just do a short little cool down on my own.

5. Yoga- I don't like stretching and I don't like yoga. This section is basic stretching and I only did 1/2 of it once so I'll leave it at that.

This is a low key work out that has some fun elements. If you really want to sweat this probably won't do it for you. If you just need a little exercise or want something to mix and match with other 10 minute workouts this DVD is fine. I think this workout is best suited for people that just need a little bit of toning and to lose 5-10 pounds. In the end I guess it got me off the couch so it's not all bad.
