Ziploc Vacuum Starter Kit Review

I was at the grocery store and saw this item on sale. I just purchased a chest freezer 2 weeks ago and have been looking to try something like this to deep freeze bargains I find. Well I decided to give this a try and purchased the 1 gallon sized freezer bags to go with it, since they were also on sale and I had a coupon. I used it today for the first time to package up some boneless chicken I bought and wanted to freeze. The instructions were pretty simple: Lay the bag flat after filling, squeeze the excess air out, and slide your fingers across the zipper at the top to seal it up. Next you put the pump over the little valve that is on each bag, and push up and down a number of time to suck the excess air out the the freezer bag.  It took a minute to get the hang of it, but once I did it was pretty easy and worked better than I expected. For $ 3.79 I would recommend it.  There are no batteries to worrry about replacing as is true with some other similar gadgets. When you are finished you just take it apart to wash it, that simple.
