I've been using Zicam's Cold Remedy oral mist for about a year now. I use it anytime I feel like a cold may be coming on (sore throat, sniffles), and my symptoms seem to go away within a day or two. I have tried Cold-Eeze (another brand of zinc supplement) oral lozenges, which also worked, but I never really liked how long it took for them to melt. Zicam's oral mist is different because it's quick and easy, and I don't have to wait minutes for a lozenge to melt. I have tried the orange flavor, which isn't bad. I do taste a little bit of mineral flavor when using it, but it goes away after a few minutes. One small suggestion: don't use it right before eating, as I have noticed it seems to change the flavor of some foods, especially dairy. I would recommend this product for anyone. It's easy enough for both kids and adults to use, just make sure you read the directions thoroughly. It does not make an immediate impact on this symptom, but after a few days of using it, it does seem to make your cold go away faster. About six years ago I was at work feeling badly from a head cold and a coworker asked me if I had tried using Zicam. After I told her that I had never heard of it she told me that her neighbor had been using it and hadn't suffered from a cold in years. I figured the woman was exaggerating because everyone gets colds at least once or twice a year so to go years without a cold for years in my mind was impossible. I worked at a school at the time and sick children were always around me. I could not afford to get sick nor did I want anyone to get sick from me so I decided to get Zicam. All I can say was it was amazing. As soon as I started feeling the signs of getting sick I grabbed the spray and used it. I remembered going to bed feeling like I was going to wake up in the middle of the night with a sore throat and congestion but I didn't. Actually I woke up in the morning feeling good. I felt it was a coincidence but after a couple more times of that happening I knew that it was Zicam. Needless to say I have many family members hooked on Zicam now.

My wife got me to try Zicam Cold Remedy Homeopathic Oral Mist Mint because it is something she had been using before we met and said it did a good job of making your cold less severe and last lesss time. So I gave Zicam Cold Remedy Homeopathic Oral Mist Mint a try because I thought if it did nothing at all I would not really be hurt by trying it out. I am glad I did but it is truly hard to know for sure that it is the Zicam that worked or that the cold I had was just not that bad. I have now used for several years and I am sure it really does work. I have not had a severe cold since using it and have not had a cold last more than a couple of days since using it. I found out that the sonner you start using it the better it works and the less sick you are. I was feeling sick last week and used Zicam Cold Remedy Homeopathic Oral Mist Mint and I barely felt sick and after about 3 days I felt completely better. Only problem is that it is very expensive, so if it is on sale or there is a good coupon you need to get it even if your not feeling sick.

One of them is **Zicam Cold Remedy Oral Mist**, a mint flavpred spray. ** ** **Medicine Commentary:** ** ** Zicam Cold Remedy Oral Mist contains the active ingredients Zincum Gluconicum 1X and Zincum Aceticum 2X. These ingredients help to fight the cold virus and eliminate it from the body more quickly. The product is sprayed in the mouth, held there for about fifteen seconds, and then swallowed. Colds are a real pain and anything that can help rid the body of the cold virus is certainly welcome in my book. This Zicam product is homeopathic and safe for regular use. It also has a pleasant mint flavor. These are certainly good qualities, but I cannot really say whether or not this product helps speed the elimination of the cold virus by very much. From my experience, there is only a slight difference from using this product- so little that it is difficult to say whether Zicam helped eliminate the cold faster or my body's own defenses did the work. Zicam Cold Remedy Oral Mist is easy to take because it doesn't require swallowing a pill. One bit of caution, however, is to make sure you don't take the product on an empty stomach. It can cause a small amount of discomfort if the liquid comes in contact with an empty stomach. I have used Zicam products for a couple years, specifically the nasal swabs. But recently, when everyone in my family was starting a cold and I went to three different stores looking for them, I couldn't find them. I decided to try this Zicam Oral mist Cold remedy in mint flavor. Well, it worked as well as the nasal swabs as far as I can tell. We used it the first day we had symptoms, slight sore throats and stuffiness. Zicam Oral mist is sprayed into your mouth and swollowed after 15 seconds. At first it has a nice mint taste, but the after taste to me was bitter. I also found it hurt my stomach. My husband did not complain about that or the taste. I found if I used it after I ate, my stomach was fine.   Our colds remained mild and the symptoms abated completely after 4 days. The oral mist is less messy than the nasal swabs, so I would choose the mist again. The Zicam products are expensive compared to other cold remedies, especially if you go store brand. But it really is worth the cost to feel better and get over your cold quicker. Another huge plus is that this won't mess you up in any way. No drowsiness or wierd feeling or side affects like dryness or headaches. Zicam Oral mist cold remedy is the latest permanent addition to my medicine cabinet and I highly recomend it.  Chest Congestion Relief Not sure how it works for chest congestion as my family rarely suffers from that. Relief of Aches & Pains this product shortens the duration of a cold, for the pain associated with a cold, take a pain med.

I've been a **Zicam **user and believer since the **Zicam/Zinc **product line first debuted in the 90's.  It started with the lozenge style delivery and has progressed over the years to some very cool products.  I never really cared for the taste of the "zinc drops" (but they worked) so when the nasal sprays and swabs were introduced into the **Zicam** family of products I flipped.  They were wonderful and my immune system seem to get a boost from them.  **Zicam** swabs did shorten most of my colds and made the symptoms less irritating and even on many occasions I FEEL that it kept colds from grabbing hold of me!  YAY!  **Zicam**...using is believing. This year it became impossible to find the **ZINC** swabs and nose sprays, all I can find on the market are the **Zicam Allergy swabs and sprays**.  I was pretty disappointed because I love this product and keep it stocked in my medicine cabinet at all times.  But then the store I shop at had a buy one get one plus a coupon.  I thought I'd give the  **Zicam Cold Remedy Oral Mist **a try since I've loved all of **Zicam's** past products. Let me tell  you, I am so happy with the new oral spray by **Zicam** - even more so then the nasal swabs/sprays.  The new **Zicam Cold Remedy Oral Mist **seems just as effective maybe even more so.  Plus, all 3 of my young children like it and ask for it. ** Zicam Cold Remedy Oral Mist's **active ingredient is Zincum Aceticum 2x and Zincum Gluconicum 1x (Zinc) so if you have an allergy to this then you should avoid this product! **The label says: ** - for best results to use **Zicam Cold Remedy Oral Mist **at the first sign of a cold and continue to use for an additional 48 hours after symptoms subside. - Adults and children 3 years of age and older! I first heard about Zicam during my early years as a teacher when I was bringing home every little bug imaginable and trying desperately to figure out how to keep myself going. I was pretty sure the claims were too good to be true but decided I had nothing to lose by trying it. I almost backed out when I saw the price tag, but really needed something and gave it a shot. I am SO glad I did. For years now I have grabbed it at the first sign of a cold and have only had 1 full-blown cold in that entire time. And, the only reason that happened is the same reason why it is only getting 4 stars - the nozzle clogged! I actually had two bottles on hand and both were clogged. They had been sitting for a while so I thought maybe if I rinsed the nozzle in hot water it would fix it but no success. I was SO disappointed. It probably is worth the price tag even if I have to buy a new one every few colds, but it seems wasteful nonetheless. Also, I would only recommend the mint oral mist. The other things taste terrible or mess up your nose. If they improve the nozzle, this one becomes a 5!

I am a pretty skeptical person when it comes to claims about cold medicines - or most marketing for that matter.  I never used to get many colds but once we started a family, my experience with cold bugs increased dramatically.  My dad would consistently bug me to use Zicam.  Although I wanted to believe there was more I could take than Vitamin C, I figured Zicam was all placebo effect and I was ambivalent for a time.  Then the mother of all colds visited our house - hitting first my husband and then my daughter.  When I started to feel that familiar twinge in my throat and that etremely tired sensation, I figured - what have I got to lose?  I searched for the Zicam my dad had given me and sprayed it on the inside of my cheeks and gums according to instructions.  I then waited for 15 seconds before swallowing and I repeated this every few hours as I felt symptoms returning.  The symptoms never worsened and in less than 2 days I began to wonder if I'd every been sick to begin with!  My family is still fighting this thing and it's been almost 2 weeks - all I did was use Zicam for 2 days!  I am a Zicam believer.  Thank you, Dad.

I love Zicam, and loved it more when you could purchase the Nasal gel cold remedy. This has been taken off of the market and so I purchased this oral mist. The product works but makes me feel nauseated and my stomach hurt.
