Consumers have thousands of options when they scan the internet for places to purchase goods. But where does one go if they want something customized? Only a small fraction of online let you create your own t-shirt or other item and one that I have tried and liked is Zazzle.com, an online store that helps people create their own merchandise, both for buying and selling.
On- Line Site Commentary:
Zazzle.com offers many products for sale, but they are generally concentrated in three key areas: Clothing, Gift Items, and Advertisements and related items. Within each of these categories, customers can find hundreds of items for sale and some examples include t-shirts, shoes, hats, cups, bumper stickers, letterhead, magnets, and more.
I first got to know Zazzle.com when I was searching for a place to create and purchase my own custom- made bumper stickers. I have shopped many different web sites in my day, but I knew nothing about Zazzle.com. My experience in this web site ended up surprising me. Not only does Zazzle.com allow customers to create their own items for purchase, it also serves as a marketplace to sell the items that you create. You don't actually stock the items and ship them. All you do is come up with a great idea and then list the item for sale. Zazzle.com then rewards you with a commission on each of the items they sell.
Another surprise with Zazzle.com is that the site offers a TON of merchandise! This is no exaggeration, folks. Zazzle.com offers millions of items for sale across a broad range of categories. Not only is there a ton of things to buy, there is even more than meets the eye because everything you see can be customized further. For example, you might find a t-shirt that grabs your attention due to its humorous saying. Using the customization tool, you can make any changes you like, such as moving the words of the saying higher or lower on the shirt; adding a downloaded image; rotating words or images; resizing some or all of the words or images, etc. When you factor in the ability to make changes to existing merchandise, Zazzle.com has an infinite number of items you can purchase.
Completing an order at Zazzle.com can take some time, but this isn't due to inefficiency on the part of the site. It is actually due to the fact that Zazzle.com offers so many different ways to modify your selected items and make them even better. There isn't necessarily an extra charge, so it isn't because Zazzle.com wants to make more money. What they want to do is make sure you understand all of the options available before you complete your order.
Bottom Line Viewpoint:
Zazzle.com is an exhaustive/exhausting service that offers millions of items for sale, a community section with advice on setting up your own store, member forums, and much more. It is a great service for creating your own merchandise and it's a fun web site for those with a creative side who want to make things and/or who want something out of the ordinary that cannot be found in other web sites.
