Zatarain's New Orleans Style Shrimp Scampi With Pasta in lemon butter sauce is slighly above average in terms of taste but definitely needs improvement.I really thought there was too much sauce and not enough shrimp. Especially if you don't take to eating just pasta and lemon butter sauce for your meal. The cooking time runs 4 to 5 minutes not including cool down so taking it to work may not be an option if you have a half hour or less of lunch time.In terms of calories (290 for the one bowl serving) it gets an A with me. Paired with a salad and light dressing it makes a nice splurge meal but watch the sodium! Ouch! 1260mg, over half a day's limit. This definitely isn't a choice if you have high blood pressure. Most frozen foods are notorious for this but I think Zatairain's could still improve on this without compromising flavor.You are at least getting some decent nutrution. The meal is low in sugar and at least has one gram of fiber and 19g. of protien. It also has nice amounts of vitamin A 6%, C 8%calcium 15% and iron 15%. Overall I might buy it again if I was in a pinch for a quick meal but if you have time to cook you could make a much healthier version with fresh ingredients at home.
