Zapit - Game Wave console Review

I heard about the Zapit Game Wave Console through BzzAgent.com.  Because I am a BzzAgent, I was able to obtain this gaming unit for only $30, which was a good deal compared to the retail price of $50 or more (depending on how many games and accessories are purchased). 

My console consists of the gaming unit, three games, and six remote controllers that are housed in their own plastic storage box. 

The Zapit Game Wave Entertainment System is promoted as being a very family-friendly gaming system that allows up to six people to actively participate in one game at the same time.  No longer does anyone have to complain about waiting for their turn. 

The games that I received were a trivia game called 4 Degrees; Click!,which is a game similar to the television game show Wheel of Fortune; and a game called Gemz, which is a takeoff on a popular online game called Bejeweled.  

While my extended family enjoyed themselves playing these games, the games weren't up to par with other exciting and life-like ones that are popular on the Wii and Play Station.  In fact, after playing a couple of games, everyone agreed that they had enough and were getting bored.   

My children, ages three and five, were not able to play any of the games that were included with my system because they are too young for them.  The only children's game that is available is a Veggie Tales game, however it cannot be purchased online like all of the other games.  Go figure.  The nearest bricks-and-mortar store is an hour away from my home.    

My opinion on the Zapit Game Wave Console is that it is for short-term fun.  It just can't compare to other gaming systems on the market.  If I saw it for sale at the store, I probably would not purchase it, especially if it's next to the Wii or Play Station.  The graphics of the Zapit Game Wave Console do not compare at all to either of those gaming systems.  However, the price of the console is much cheaper than those systems so it might be an option for someone looking for a family game that isn't expensive.

Overall, I'm happy with my purchase of the Zapit Game Wave Entertainment System and am sure that my family will use it again.  I just wish that my children could have some age-appropriate games to play and not have to watch the adults have fun while they sit nearby.
