The other day I had run out of the Prilosec that I usually take for heartburn. I had some Zantac, so took one of those each night at bedtime. They really do not work near as good as the Prilosec. The heart burn was so bad and I took one of the Zantac and then chewed on tums until I could fall asleep. The next day I found a coupon for Previcid that has now come out with an over the counter pill, so I sent my husband to the store to get some for me and use the coupon. He only got a small container of them, as they have just been put on the market and wasn't sure if they would be as good as the Prilosec pills I have been using and run out of. They are just as good and I think they have a time release element to them that the Zantac don't have. I was paying over $400.00 to get the prescription filled when the doctor ordered them for me. You have to keep trying different pills to see what works for you and always read all the information.

This works better for me than Prilosec ever did. Most days I only need one tablet. Occasionally I take 2. But it works wonders every time.

Zantac worked for me! I have only gotten heartburn once in my life, thank god, and it was due to eating a very delicious buffalo spiced chicken and garlic sandwich about 4 minutes before I went to sleep. Since i had never had heartburn before, and didn't even know what it was really, I didn't think twice about eating this lovely sandwich and then laying down horizontally and going to sleep.

So when I woke up at 3 in the morning with weird pains in my chest and esophogus, I thought I was dying. Dying. I was living with my aunt at the time and thought i would have to wake her up and tell her to take me to the hospital. I didn't sleep at all, and since i didn't know what was happening, I didn't know how to cure it. when she finally woke up in the morning, i pounced on her and told her what was happening and she said "oh don't worry, you just have heartburn!" she gave me Tums...they didn't work at all. Then she gave me Zantac and it was gone in about 15 minutes. Oh, sweet relief.

So now I keep...

I have found Zantac to releive heartburn quickly. I really like the mint flavored one. I would recommend this to anyone with occassional heartburn. ...

I found out I was pregnant for the first time because out of the blue I started getting heartburn every night, where I had only had it maybe once or twice before in my life. At the start of my pregnancy, the chewable calcium tabs were enough but by month 3 I was in PAIN every night. My doctor suggested Zantac and I am so glad she did! I took Zantac for the rest of my pregnancy and very rarely had problems that the little pill couldn't take care of.

Now that I'm not pregnant anymore, I still occassionally get heartburn (pregnancy has forever changed me!) and always take my Zantac!

For anyone who has ever had to deal with heart burn...I think it's pretty safe to say that this product is the answer to your pain! I have tried a variety of different tricks to stop my heartburn before it starts and have been unsuccessful. What I enjoy most about this product is that you can take it before you eat anything that might be spicy or cause you to have acid reflux and "presto" it's never happens.

I started taking Zantac years ago when it was still a prescription medication. It was prescribed to help prevent stomach trouble from anti-inflammatories I took for my rheumatoid arthritis. It worked extremely well, and as far as I could tell, I suffered no side effects, even though I took it daily for years.

These days I don't need a daily dose of Zantac, but when I do have an acid stomach or heartburn, I turn to the OTC Zantac for relief. It still works great, and I like the fact that several different strengths are now available. Zantac works quickly and relieves my symptoms.

I like Zantac better than Pepcid and Tagament. Now Zantac 150 is available over the counter, so I but it since I used to have to take two Zantac 75's. Great product. The new mint flavor really makes it go down easy. I give it 8 out of 10 stars....

This product quickly works great for the occasional heartburn, gastroesophageal acid reflux and the nausea that comes along with it that I experience. It works so much better than the calcium based products. To be honest, I mostly take the generic store brand which works just as well for about half the price.

This product is a lifesaver, although slightly high in cost, it is well worth it, it works fast, it lasts, although between 8-12 hours, if not taken at right time, you could wake up in the middle of the night suffering, but good news! take another one, so far there have not been any reported long term use effects that I am aware of, but as the information states, if taken for long period, see your doctor, they also come in 150mg tablets too, for the acid reflux from heck or just for that extra spicy burrito you just had to have..Give it a try...

I am very sensitive to spicy foods and can get heartburn very easily. Since I started using this product, the heartburn is less often and less intense. I still try to avoid highly spiced foods, but I used to get heartburn from almost anything. This product has made my life so much easier and more comfortable....

This is a standby in our medicine cabinet. But to be honest, we go for the generic and it works terrific. Both my husband and I use it - just one or at the most 2 little pills just when needed - for heartburn - warning signs of heartburn, etc. Good stuff!...

I am 28 weeks pregnant with our 4th child. Have been experiencing heartburn and nausea (yes again), my doctor is the one who told me to start taking Zantac 75 at night. She imformed me that this would help with the heartburn and nausea. Heartburn wasn't majorly bad but the nausea was driving me nuts. I've been taking the Zantac for 3 nights now and so far it's been working great on the nausea. Although with the heartburn I did have a small amount the first 2 nights. But I was told that it might take a few days for my preggo body to adjust and get used to the Zantac. I would highly recommend this product to pregnant woman who suffer nausea and heartburn. Anything that will help me take care of my 3 boys without feeling sick is a wonder drug to me! lol ...
