I was anxiously awaiting a solution... After months of diet change and over the counter medication that only would fail me my doctor suggested zantac 150 , 2 tabs per day. The best I've felt in a long time! It took very little time to see the result. The product is easy to swallow and reasonable in price.

I have had acid reflux for years and have lots of over the counter medications, including Tums. Zantac was the only medication that consistently worked over the years. Now I did have to make sure to take the 150mg, but that was because of how bad my issue was, I started with a lower dose though and went up from there. Also Zantac has coupons regularly in your Sunday paper and online printable coupons. This was important to me because I also found that the generic, store brand version of Zantac did not work as well for me. Over the years I have tried several prescription medications. I currently take a prescription medication, Protonix, which does work most days but when I need extra help Zantac is the only thing that works for me. Effectiveness Effective 99% of the time. Ease of Use Small pill and easy to swallow for me. The larger quantity you buy this in you will get it in an actual bottle, I like that. If you buy it in smaller quantity it comes in those single pill, foil push through sheets. I suppose they could be difficult for some people to open but they weren't for me. Immediacy If you follow directions it worked as it's supposed to.

I actually used Zantac for a different purpose than the advertised heartburn relief. For awhile last year I was breaking out in hives on a daily basis. Basically itchy red bumps all over my body. It's something that runs in my family and after blood tests, the dermatologist couldn't find a cause. There are a lot of people who suffer from hives with no cause or cure unfortunately. However, he did recommend that I try taking Zantac daily for relief and wrote me an over-the-counter prescription. To my amazement it worked. After trying all different kinds of allergy medicines, the Zantac is what worked for me. I took it daily for weeks and since then I have been hives free and don't need to take it. If I feel them coming on again, I take a Zantac and it gets rid of them. I can't say this solution would work for everyone, but if you're a hives sufferer and have tried all the traditional allergy medicines, it may work for you. Effectiveness For hives, can't speak for heart burn. :)

I have taken this as a prescribed, and over the counter med for ulcers since I was 14! This medicine does EXACTLY as promised, by providing relief for those with peptic, duodenal ulcers. GREAT for heartburn as well. Havent had a sleepless night due to acid indigestion since I was 14. Would recommend this product to ANYONE!

This product works much better that some of the other antiacids I've tried.  While I occasionally have to take two, usually one works just fine.  It's inexpensive and works within an hour.  I find that if I take it right before bedtime I can avoid gastrointestional reflux while I'm sleeping.

  I am a person that suffers from reflux and ulcers.when I am out of my perscription medication I know I can depend on this over the counter one.It is the best one on the market as I have tried a few. Zantac 150 may be more expensive than other brands but it is worth the price to relieve the pain. I mean why suffer with heartburn when you relieve the pain with one tiny little pill? It comes in a variety of package sizes and you can also buy the generic brand of Zantac so that it will still be cheaper for you.Quit suffering with heartburn or a sour stomach and get what really works. It even works on a queasy stomach.

When I was pregnant, Zantac saved me from a lot of miserable days and nights of heartburn. I was the size of a van, my stomach was up in my throat, and I **always** had heartburn. It was, in fact, the worst part of my pregnancy. It made me feel nauseated all the time. My doctor recommended Zantac as a relief. I was *very hesitant *to take any medicines when I was pregnant, and my doctor knew this. He, and someone else from whom I got a second opinion, assured me that it was safe and effective. They were right! Within one hour of taking my first Zantac, my intractible heartburn was gone. I took it just once a day, and until I delivered the problem was gone. I ended up taking it periodically after giving birth, and it always worked for me. Now, I just take Zantac 150 for occasional heartburn, but it never fails to bring me much-needed relief. The pills are very small, easy to swallow, tasteless, and work within one hour. The only drawback to Zantac 150 is that it does not provide immediate relief. It does take about an hour, sometimes, less, to feel better. If you're feeling really rough, take the Zantac and then follow it immediately with a couple of Tums. That will give you a short break before the pill takes effect.

I never had heartburn problems until I became pregnant.  Around my six month of pregnancy, I started having heart burn really badly.  I did not want to take any medications so I suffered through it for about a month.  I tried everything I could.  I slept sitting up.  I drank milk before bed.  I tried to eliminate any foods that might be causing it.  But nothing worked.  Sometimes the heart burn was so bad that it would cause me to vomit.  At that point I knew I had to do something.  I talked to my brother who is a pharmacist as well as my doctor.  They both said that the Zantac was safe to take up to twice a day.  Oh my.  It was amazing!  I swear that the Zantac saved my sanity once I started taking it.  I could finally sleep again.  I could breath again and eat the foods that I wanted again!  I still don't love taking medicine while pregnant or in general, but this really did make a huge difference!

I was put on omeprazole for frequent heartburn and acid reflux.  I am a sufferer of GERD.  One time when my prescription ran out I got some of the Zantac 150 to get me by until I could get another prescription filled. Once I used the Zantac I was so amazed.  It worked waaayyyy better than the prescription my doctor gave me and it worked IMMEDIATELY!!!  Talk about a miracle drug!  I was so pleased with it that I went out and stocked up on it.  I stopped taking the prescription my doctor gave me because the Zantac works so much better. I usually get the cool mint kind, it feels so good going down my throat especially if my acid reflux is flaring up.  The cool mintyness cools my throat and feels like it is going right to work on the heartburn. I do not have any negative things to say about this medicine.  I have not noticed any side effects while I've been taking it.  It makes my stomach and throat feel so much better and I would definitely recommend it to anyone suffering from heartburn or acid reflux.

Zantac 150 is one of several heavy- duty antacids that I use from time to time when I am faced with a tough case of heartburn or when I want to prevent the possibility of heartburn later in the day. This product uses the special acid reducing agent known as Ranitidine to lower the level of irritating acid in the stomach, thus lessening the chances for heartburn or eliminating the current symptoms of heartburn in a short amount of time. It contains twice as much Ranitidine as Zantac 75, for twice the level of effectiveness.   What makes Zantac 150 a notch better than Zantac 75 is the fact that the stronger version is highly effective not only as a preventative measure against future heartburn, but also as a drug to relieve the symptoms of heartburn that are already present. With Zantac 75, I have found that a bad case of acid reflux cannot be contained by taking one pill as directed. It is not powerful enough to eliminate the acid. But Zantac 150 gets the job done in a matter of minutes. And it is also very effective (nearly 100%) against getting heartburn in the future. By taking a single Zantac 150 tablet about one hour before a heavy meal, I can eat with greater peace of mind because I know that Zantac 150 will already have gone to work, reducing the stomach acid to a low enough level that I will not experience any heartburn. Side effects are uncommon with this brand for most users, but I have noticed a little bit of constipation. Food seems to get more bundled up than usual when Zantac 150 is used and hence it has a harder time passing through the digestive system. This is somewhat annoying, but it is nothing compared to the misery caused by acid reflux. I will happily trade a small amount of constipation for a nauseating case of acid reflux anytime. Overall, Zantac 150 is one of my favorite antacids and it is a product I will continue to use periodically when heartburn strikes or when I want to prevent heartburn from starting. The price is high, but it is pretty much in line with the other maximum strength acid- reducing products and the relief and peace of mind it provides are worth the added cost.
