About a year ago I started using Zagarese Licorice for indigestion. I learned through a nutritionist that licorice root may be a holistic/ organic way to alleviate heartburn and indigestion.
A Closer View
When I eat badly I pay for it in more ways than one. Wanting to go a more natural way than Tums or Rolaids I bought these 100% organic, sugar-free, black pellets. They come in a small box - .88 ounces - and cost around $2.50.
They work! I find that they work best if I suck on a couple before I eat rather than after. They don't work as well as the commercial brands thus I feel they are better as a preventative.
All they are is 100% pure licorice root extract and mint flavor. They don't taste delicious so there's no risk of my eating these like candy but they aren't so bad that I hesitate popping a couple in my mouth.
These are made in Italy for Phyto-Plus.
Jo's Viewpoint
I like it!
I do realize the irony in using an organic product when I eat the worst foods on the planet!
