Not as appealing as I had hoped

By

from Oakwood Vlg., OH

Comments about ZONE PERFECT Nutrition Bar Strawberry Yogurt:

I bought this product in hopes that it would quell hunger , nervous or greed pangs and at the same time satisfy my taste buds as well. Well it did not score well on any level. These bars taste terrible and did not do my love for either strawberries or yogurt any justice. They have a strange taste to begin with and a lingering after taste as well. The texture was also un palpable. Had the texture been more acceptable I may have been able to adapt to eating them for health, nutrition and hungers sake. I unfortunately bought a whole box thinking that I was making a great purchase and surely wished after the fact that I had only bought a single one and gave it a test run. Although as far as this products claims, I will still recommend it to anyone who finds them acceptable taste wise as I'm sure that they will benefit nutritionally from choosing them for whatever reason they are interested.

Zone bars

By

from USA

Comments about ZONE PERFECT Nutrition Bar Strawberry Yogurt:

I tried out the Zone diet for about a year, and for me, it was very effective. It made me feel so much healthier almost immediately, and I had lost a ton of weight. the reason I stopped was because the foods were just not as appealing to me. Yes, it's so much healthier and worth it, but I got pregnant and could not reduce cravings. Anyways, another problem i had was the same thing represented by these bars. The price, kinda outrageous. it does kinda even out with the fact that it makes you feel fuller than most brands, but I can do that with anything high fiber. The taste was good, but not exceptional to account for the money I was shelling out. Overall, though, a good product if a) you can shell out the money and afford it and b) you can deal with getting rid of a lot of the food you love. I couldn't do either, ended up going on the paleo diet which was alot more satisfying and fit my lifestyle much better. they don't have packaged, processed foods like these, either.

There are Better Bars Out There

By

from Lake Villa, IL

Comments about ZONE PERFECT Nutrition Bar Strawberry Yogurt:

Speaking from both a taste and nutritional stand point, there are lots of better protein bars out there. These are usually pretty inexpensive, which might explain the fact that so many places carry them, but they do not taste that great. The strawberry yogurt ones are typically chalky in my opinion and resemble overly artificial strawberry. Additionally, being strawberry yogurt flavor, the chalky, crunchy, grainy, texture just does not fit and is really not that pleasant to eat. The nutrition on these is really subpar. They have a decent amount of fat (most of which is saturated) and a decent amount of (soy) protein. The biggest problem is in the lower amount of fiber and high amount of sugar. The ingredients list is pretty long and full of oils and other chemicals. All in all, I would say avoid these bars. They work in a pinch, but there are so many better options out there.

So Tasty yet Not a Great Nutrition Choice.

By

from Lake Elmo, MN

Comments about ZONE PERFECT Nutrition Bar Strawberry Yogurt:

This bar should really be listed in the "dessert" category. The high sugar content makes it Oh so tasty and Oh such a bad choice for weight-loss.
You will most likely be hungrier after eating it because of the following sugar crash. Soy protein is not a good choice since it raises estrogen levels in both men and women.
Corn starch, corn syrup, artificial ingredients take this off the "healthy" list right away.
