Quick View: I am not one to breakĀ out or have reactions to most skin care products but my face is a mess after using Yves Rocher Pure Calmille Gentle Alcohol-Free Toner for a few weeks nightly. It's going to take a while to rid myself of these blemishes!
About Yves Rocher Pure Calmille Gentle Alcohol-Free Toner
I wanted a toner for sticky summer nights that was pure and simple. I just wanted to be sure my face was clean. I bought Yves Rocher Pure Calmille Gentle Alcohol-Free Toner because it said it was simple, pure, and clean. The main ingredient is chamomile which is said to be calming. Well, I guess my skin isn't typical! I started using this toner daily a few weeks ago. I never really saw much residue on the cotton pads and it didn't make my face dry nor hydrated. It seemed like a very benign product. A week after I started using it, I broke out with a blemish. That was unusual but it happens now and then. Three weeks into it, I have FIVE blemishes, the most I ever had even as a teen! One is painful on my chin and the others are smaller but very red. I just LOVE the one smack dab in between my eyebrows!
I have changed nothing at all with my skin care regiment except for the addition of this toner so I am 99.99999999% sure the toner simply didn't agree with my skin. This is not to say it is bad. It just simply caused an unexpected reaction. I don't think I would recommend it given my skin is not prone to this sort of reaction and yet, here I am, looking like a 15 year old in the throes of a hormonal transformation. Ugh.
My Viewpoint
I have no idea why Yves Rocher Pure Calmille Gentle Alcohol-Free Toner caused me to break out but I sure won't be using it again! It is the only thing that changed in my skin care routine so I can pretty much rest assured that the toner caused a reaction. Still, it is very gentle and doesn't have any weird ingredients that I know of except for chamomile which I have used before. I am going to go with 3 stars because not everyone will react the way I did. But in all, it's very average and, even if I didn't break out from it, it wouldn't have gotten high praise.
