Yukon Portable Fireplace —

We bought the Yukon Portable Heater around 2002.  It is black with gold accents and has a glass door that opens.   It sits on four short legs so it doesn't sit directly on your carpet or tile.  It has a circular portion on top that can be opened.  People used to use the circular area in times past to cook in their pots and skillets.  You cannot cook anything on this heater, which is not a problem.  It is simply for nostalgia.  The circular portion contains manual controls to adjust the height of the simulated flames; heat; and loglights.  The heat can be adjusted to 750 watts or 1500 watts.  It is 22" high and 20" wide.  It does not use oil or burn real wood; so there is no clean up aferwards.  It cost about 279.00 in 2002.  It is well worth it.  It often sparks conversations and memories from guests.  It would make a great gift for anyone who can remember the good old days with their grandparents or great grand parents.  It does not make a lot of noise.  It has a low steady comforting hum.  It is a spacesaver and very attractive and stylish.
