I decided to write about Yorkshire Terrier's because I acquired one for the first time in my life about 5 yrs. ago. I saved his life by abducting him from a guy who was abusing him. His name is "Buddy" and he has the most unique per-
sonality I have ever seen in a dog. This particular type of dog is perfect for a
person who needs a good & loyal friend. He knows when I do not feel good &
he will lick my thigh for as long as he feels necessary or believes that I am in
a better mood. He is one of the smartest breeds I have encountered, there is
not one trick or helpful thing he cannot learn nor doesn't not want to. I very
rarely ever have to give him a treat for something that he learned although I
do most of the time because he just so deserves it because he learns these
tricks or useful things most enthusiastically and wants my praise or thanks
for whatever he does I cannot ignore him. It takes him a very short period of
time to learn anything I try to teach him that it makes the effort of doing so a
great pleasure and such fun to do these things with him. I enjoy this type of
dog so very much that I came upon a woman over the intenet who's mother
recenty died and she ran a "Puppy Mill" with 3 different breeds of dogs. The
other 2 kinds were Maltese's and English Bulldog's but the king of Yorkie
that she has for me is a "Teacup" breed which is very, very small. The one
I am adopting now weighs 1.8lbs and will be 4 to 5lbs. at maturity. I have al-
ways wanted one of the small breeds all of my life so for me to come across
one and only having to pay the adoption & shipping fee's is a dream come
true. If any one you know is looking or a small dog for a pet I can truely tell
you that one of these Yorkie's is the best kind you could get. They are so
much fun as well as entertaining with their growing knowledge easily that
I cannot think of any other breed of dog that comes close to a Yorkie!!!
