Who doesn't like a frozen treat that's low in calories. With Yoplait frozen smoothie mix I don't even go near ice cream no more. 1/2 cup of ice cream or 1-2 cups of fruit for the same calories... I'll take the smoothie. My favorite one is the mixed berry and then this one. I absolutely recommend this brand of smoothie mix to anyone.

Yoplait Frozen Smoothie Mix - Health Smoothie in one!

5

I love Yoplait as a brand - I think they are the perfect combination of health, nutrition and good price. The Yoplait Frozen Smoothie mix is no exception to this. The package encloses frozen pieces of fruit (strawberry and banana) plus frozen chunks of yogurt, which when mixed with fat free milk, makes the perfect healthy snack with wholesome ingredients. Admittedly it does require the use of a blitzer or blender but takes just a matter of seconds to produce. I sometimes make these for my kids and add a little fat free greek yogurt and a squirt of honey. I feel good about the vitamin C, calcium and pro-biotics. I have tried other brands of smoothie mixes, some had just pure fruit which I thought was a bit lame, and so this brand is my favorite by a mile. I have noticed the manufacturer placing coupons for this product quite regularly in the Sunday newspapers and when they do, I stock up.

Yoplait Smoothies -- Drink Your Fruit

I love ***Yoplait Original ***yogurt, with the exception of their coffee flavored variety, so when I found their **Smoothie **mix in the frozen food section of my local supermarket, I didn't hesitate to try it. There are actually three varieties -- *Strawberry Banana, Strawberry Mango Pineapple*, and *Triple Berry*. In the package are frozen fruit and frozen yogurt pieces. All you need to add is milk, and put all the ingredients into a blender. According to the information on the bag, one 7.6 oz. package is ***supposed ***make two 8-ounce smoothies when mixed with 1 cup of milk, but I beg to differ; unless you serve the finished product in small glasses, you'll get a single, adequate smoothie. What you have left over will not fill a second 8-ounce glass. You can add more milk to stretch it to two servings, but it'll be much thinner than I prefer my smoothies.  The instructions say to use fat-free (skim) milk, but since I'm not a dieter and don't like ***or*** drink skim milk, I used regular whole milk. If you do use skim milk according to the package, your smoothie will give you 110 calories of tasty goodness. The instructions also say to blend on high speed for 1 to 1-1/2 minutes, but I got the consistency I prefer after only 30 seconds in my Krups blender. If you blend it for the full minute-and-a-half, you'll completely pulverize the fruit and end up with a mllk shake. The flavor isn't quite as fruity as I expected it to be. There's also not a strong *yogurt-y* tang to the smoothie, even though there are frozen yogurt pieces in it. The stand-out flavor in the Strawberry-Banana variety is definitely the strawberries, but It's not too sweet and not too tart. I could barely taste the bananas at all, even though there seemed to be an equal amount of both kinds of fruit in the package.

Yoplait Frozen Smoothie mixes are the bomb!

Let me start out by saying that this product is not the healthiest option out there. As far as convenience goes, it's great. Some of the ingredients are questionable, too. To me it would be much healthier to go buy some frozen fruits of choice, a little organic plain yogurt, and blend those things together with a splash of almond or coconut milk.. that way you know every ingredient going into your smoothie and you don't have to worry about the bad stuff outweighing the good. However, since most people do not care about questionable ingredients that they can barely pronounce, this smoothie mix is delicious! I normally do what I said in the first paragraph but I had a high value coupon and I figured I'd give it a try. I used coconut milk for this one too instead of regular milk. It has a really great taste to it and I think the bag said it makes two servings, but we made it stretch between the four of us.

A little bit of Vivanno for the home kitchen!

There I was, all primed and ready to go with my [Osterizer 16 Speed Blender][1] .  On my trip to Dominick's yesterday I had found something new to me ... ***Yoplait Strawberry Banana Smoothie***.  This product consisted of a 7.6 oz. plastic pouch of sliced fresh strawberries and bananas.  It would have been nice if someone at the store had bothered to notice the "*Keep Frozen*" warning which was clearly visible in the upper left-hand corner of the package label; instead they had thrown all these things in with the regular refrigerated yogurts.  I didn't notice the mistake either until I got home and really looked at the package details but this story has a happy ending since I was able to drink this stuff and survive the night to write this review. Directions couldn't be easier -- blend contents of the pouch with a cup of milk.  The package recommends skim milk but all I had on hand was 2% and that worked beautifully.  Nutritional information is given for both the mix as packaged and also prepared with skim milk.  **STATS:** If you prepare your ***Yoplait Smoothie*** with skim milk, you will get two servings each containing 110 calories with 15 calories from fat.  There are one gram Total Fat, .5 gram Saturated Fat, zero Trans Fat, less than 5 mg. Cholesterol, 15 mg. Sodium, 14 grams Total Carbs, one gram Dietary Fiber, 9 grams Sugars, and one gram Protein.  This preparation with milk also results in 4% (D.V.) Vitamin A, 30% Vitamin C, and 15% Calcium. **TASTE TIP:** Anyone who thinks that mixing the ***Yoplait Strawberry Banana Smoothie*** mix in with a cup of skim milk is going to result in the kind of fruit smoothie you get from the Mall is in for a HUGE disappointment.  I knew this and I'm surprised that the package directions didn't mention it.  Before I did anything else, I crushed a cup of ice and THEN added the fruit mix and the milk and blended for a couple minutes.  The addition of the ice resulted in a beautiful batch of smoothie which was the equal of a [Strawberry Banana Vivanno  from Starbuck's][2] .  I was afraid to share with a neighbor because the fruit had not been kept frozen at the store and I was taking a chance but I ended up with so much delectable smoothie that that ended up being my dinner last night.  **When ice is added to the blend**, I heartily recommend this stuff.     [1]: http://www.viewpoints.com/Osterizer-16-speed-stand-mixer-review-f4a21 [2]: http://www.viewpoints.com/Starbucks-Strawberry-Banana-Vivanno-Smoothie-review-75a1

My daughter and I absolutely love this smoothie, it is super simple to make and tastes incredible, just as good as any restaurants but the kicker is you get two glass fulls for the same price or less.

Great snack for Diabetics and Teens

My oldest son is almost 17 and has been dealing with diabetes for 7 years now.  I am always on the look out for easy and quick things for him to eat/drink that is healthy and diabetic friendly.  This smoothy hits the spot. We tried the STrawberry banana.  Even his 2 other brothers who are teens loved it.  I have a bag in my freezer and plan to make sure I have several bags on hand at all times.

I made my smoothy this morning and was very happy how it was so creamy and tasty.  My 20 month old loved it too.  It took just a few min to mix up and I felt like I had one of those fancy smoothies from a shop.
