Veiled chameleons are gorgeous, but not so easy to care for. They, like all chameleon's are very easily stressed. Even picking them up to move them to a different spot is enough to kill them from over stress. They are also quite strict on care. They need to have a humid environment, and a perfect temperature. They need to be misted everyday, and be fed a very consistant diet. If you are an experienced lizard owner, these are one of the most beautiful pets you can have, but they are ALOT of work, and not recommended for any home with children.
