Wow, the US is gorgeous.....and big!  I just got back from a five day trip to Yellowstone National Park and The Grand Tetons with my 13 year old nephew.  What a fantastic trip! It is like bringing your 7th grade science class with you on tour.

I generally knew what a Geyser was, but, well not exactly.  And the difference between a Geyser and a Hot Spring or Boiling Mud Pot?  No, not at all.  With land spontaneously spitting out steam and mud bubbles, you can see why a 13 year old boy had a fabulous time.  The prismatic and volatile earthly wonders that are Yellowstone, which basically sits...

In June my husband and I took a trip through the Grand Tetons National Park and to Yellowstone National Park. My husband had always wanted to go there, and while I was fine with our destination, I wasn't necessarily all that excited about it. What a blessing it was to go there! I was absolutely amazed and awestruck by the beauty and grandeur of these parks. We stayed in West Yellowstone Montana at the Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort while we toured Yellowstone. It was wonderful. West Yellowstone is just outside Yellowstone Park, so it was a great location to stay and the hotel was the best that I saw...

Grand Teton is one of my favorite National Parks.  I had the wonderful opportunity to work there for a summer, so I was able to discover all its great secrets and beauty.  There are an amazing network of trails throughout the park for all levels of hikers.  There is snow on the mountain peaks all year and it is possible for there to be snow in the park from early September to late June.  During my stay I was able to see wildlife from moose that would walk up to my window at Jackson Lake Lodge to wandering bear.  While it's expected that in 3 months I'd see almost every type of wildlife, when... review »

We went to Yellowstone in 2007 and it was wonderful. We saw grizzly bears, black bears, elk, mule deer, eagles, swans, ducks, storks, buffalo by the hundreds and the natural beauty of the park was breathtaking.  Hayden Valley and Lamar Valley are the home to many animals.  The waterfalls are spectacular the lake is awesome and the Yellowstone River winds through the park and can be seen from many point of view.  The geysers and hot springs and bubbling mud pits remind you that you are in the midst of a volcanic area that is marvelous in all it's wild beauty.  We are going back in 2009 for a... review »

We have been going to Montana and Wyoming for about 14 years. We love it!!

Such a beautiful part of the country and so much to do for a family.

The kids loved riding around looking for buffalo and seeing the gysers and the paint-pots. Such a great family bonding time!

Highly recommend a trip into Jackson Hole, WY to see the Tetons and then driving into Yellowstone and going to Big Sky, MT and through the park. Never a dull moment and different every time you visit. It's an ideal location no matter which season it is too!

There are so many things to see and enjoy in these parks. It is really necessary to see it more than once. The science opportunities for children are just amazing. From wildlife watching to swimming in a canyon river, breathtaking waterfalls, giant geysers, you just forget your sitting in a giant volcanic caldera!
