Yankees Candles just aren't what they used to be

practical, picking up after pets, an avid online shopper, value conscious, interested in comfort, daily computer user

Yankee Candle Jar Candles —

I have been using Yankee Candles well over 15 years. They have always been something I find soothing and relaxing. The assortment of scents is mind boggling. I have used tea lights, jars, and lately electric plug in oils.

Unfortunately, over the past few years I have noticed a decrease in quality of these candles. The scent is just not as strong as it used to be, with the exception of the electric plug ins.

At first, I thought this was just me...maybe I was the only one that thought this. Well, I asked several friends who are also Yankee users for many, many years and they all agreed....the scent just isn't the same.

I have not purchased a jar candle in over a year. I do, however, continue to purchase the electric plug in oils.

I agree with you! I thought it was me at first, also! I am now buying other brands. It is too bad though because Yankee has such pretty products and packaging! Oh well, things change, I guess and Yankee must not be paying attention! CH

Sad ot hear thewir quality has gone down. Years ago, we'd stop at the Yankee Candle Factory store whenever we were on our way from NYC to Vermont (I think the factory is in Deerfield) and we always bought candle jar candles. They used to be great.
