Yankee Candle Coconut Bay Housewarmer Candles always make me smile. I used them religiously about 5 years ago and was crushed when the scent was discontinued. I was browsing the Yankee Candle web site a couple of weeks ago and discovered that they had brought Coconut Bay out of retirement for a limited time. I promptly ordered 10 of the 22 ounce Housewarmer candles.
Yankee Candle Coconut Bay Housewarmer Candles are white in color and have the incredibly pleasant and warm scent of coconut milk with a hint of suntan lotion. Usually when you find coconut-scented anything, it tends to be sickeningly sweet or more of a pina colada coconut/pineapple blend. That isn't the case with this Coconut Bay scent.
I use this candle in our living room which is where I tend to spend most of my evenings. It does a nice job of filling the room with the warm coconut fragrance but it isn't strong enough to creep down the hall and into other rooms. The Yankee Candle Coconut Bay Housewarmer Candle can and will produce black smoke and soot so you need to be religious about trimming the wick before lighting it.
I have always been very happy with these Coconut Bay candles and, well, I'm thrilled that Yankee Candle decided to sell them again for a short time. A 22 ounce Housewarmer costs $23.99 and they have a burn time of 110-150 hours. With 9 left in my bathroom closet, I'm going to be enjoying these candles for a long time to come!
