This is a new component I added after giving away all my very OLD stuff to my ex-husband. I found this unit not easy to work with if you are not tech savvy.  I had to go over and over the instruction manual and play with the unit quite a while before I got the desired results.  I also had to make several trips to Best Buy to ask them about hooking up the different components I had bought.  I didn't find the unit or the manual very user friendly.  BUT now that I finally have it hooked up, it is great.  I love the surround sound with the new speakers I bought.  There is also an AM and FM radio.  If you are new to the tech world, I would be cautious about buying this unit.
