In short I wanted to step into the 21st century with something that wouldn't be obsolete in 5 years (I'm hoping for another 20). Also, AM/FM radio was important (not internet radio, but plain old antena reception radio). After looking at Tivoli: extremely expensive for a bit of style and technology, I finally found what I'm looking for. The fellow above who simply says, "oh God" to describe the sound quality is not exagerating. The DRX-730 is everthing I dreamed of and more. The remote is simple, and even though I would also prefer buttons for the radio on the unit, the remote makes it very convenient. So if you think you're needs are similar, I can tell you with confidence that you'll enjoy this system. Remember that your speakers must handle minimum 6 ohms.
