Most HelpfulI signed up for AT&T Yahoo several years ago because #1) DSL is faster than dial-up & #2) it was actually less expensive. However, Yahoo web based email just plain sucks.
They recommend you download the new Internet Explorer 8 but the email web page says it's "not supported" yet. WHAT?

About 2 years ago, I was invited to join a local Mom's group that meets up once a month for dinner. During the rest of the month, the Mom's post on a message board on Yahoo Groups.
Who has time for that, I thought?
Well, I joined anyways and have met a wonderful group of ladies in my area. We chat ALOT. We have Mom's Night Outs, Family Events, Play-dates, Holiday Events....you name it, we do it.

There are many wonderful features to YAHOO about and although life on the cyber-range has not been totally without complications or "non-responding" issues, I have always felt that some of these problems were due to the fact that I cannot seem to totally divest my system of AOL software which may either deliberately or not screw things up from time to time.

Why is this contradiction or lie given to users? I was MADE to provide questions now - certainly required - otherwise I could not access my mail account after a period of time when they requested it. Any "security" question is either private...
Yahoo used to be a lot better, now it seems corporate and boring. I used to enjoy posting about stocks in their message boards; now I every time that I post something other posters disagree with, they slam Yahoo with complaints until my post is removed.
Meanwhile, the chat and games areas are still overrun with spammers. The "solution" Yahoo came up with - having to figure out convoluted letter patterns to enter - doesn't just frustrate any would-be spammers - it keeps me out over half the time. They are nearly impossible to read and enter.
I do like some features, such as email and the fantasy...

Yahoo has plenty of relevant results when you're conducting a search, and they're working on a marketing program that should help entrepeneurs out a great deal.
Yahoo isn't my favorite, but it's my old standbye and it's well worth using, even today.
