You on a Diet is a book that takes a rare look at what actually happens to your body when you are on a diet. It goes into great detail about hormones and hunger and satiety signals. Apparently we all have these and just need to tune in better to know when we are full. When we eat even though we are already full, it is easy to pack on the pounds.
I first heard of You on a Diet on an episode of Oprah featuring Dr. Oz. I though he was amazing right off the bat. He seemed very knowledgeable. He taught me things about losing weight that I didn't know and I have been studying the topic for several years...
review »"You On A Diet" by Dr. Rosen and Dr. Oz is not really a diet book. It's more of a habit, lifestyle changing book. The You Diet starts with explaining how the digestive system works and what happens through your body when you eat something. This is a better way to start eating healthier because, you're taught how your system works so you can understand the why the body reacts as it does and further gets you to how to change your eating and physical fitness habits. review »I love the YOU books because Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen really make technical and complicated things easy to understand. I really like the YOU on a Diet book because it is very realistic and a very healthy approach to a challenge that everyone faces sometimes. I really like the illustrations in this book because they aren't intimidating or gross and I really like the messages that Dr. Oz and Dr. Roizen are putting out there. I think this diet is "easy" to get on and very easy to stay one once your on it.
I listen to Dr. Oz on XM Radio and his radio show is WONDERFUL - even if I don't think the topic...
review »You on a diet is an excellent book because it gives you true insight into your body and dieting.this book is not trying to sale you potions in bottles or over rated diet food it is giving you an insight into dieting and your bosy.I liked it alot and I lost 60 pounds after reading the book and thinking about the choices I was making so I give Dr.Oz a hands up.I also lie the Dr.Oz Show too.Youc an find out all kinds of stuff about your body on there too and persoanally I would tell anyone to read this book and take a watch at his health segments daily you might find it as helpful as I have.
