My skin has always been dry, but this summer has taken it's tole.  My elbows, especially, we so rough they scratched any thing that they touched. I had used everything, and found some that helped a little, but nothing that actually took the roughness away.  Then I cound Say yes to carrots!  For the first time my elbows are smooth!   It may not seem like a big thing, but I was embarassed to have anyone see how rough and dry they were.  I gave some to my mom and she loves it as much as I.  It goes on smoothly without being stickey and gooey like some of the other moisturizers.
