If you are a fan of the first Halo you need to get part 2! The game's story expansion, online features, and new weapons and vehicles upgrades just have to be experienced and even the new multi-player stages have secrets to unlock. Halo 2 isn't perfect but it is still pretty darn close.

Halo 2 begins right after the events in last game. The Covenant alien race had just failed in their attempt to wipe out the human colonist thanks to the heroic efforts of the enhanced super soldier simply known as Master Chief. Halo 2 - A video game hall of famer

I'm a long time (25+ years) video gamer and this one should be headed for the Gamer's Hall of Fame. They took everything about Halo (the game that helped make the Xbox great) and improved it. The graphics are great, the game play itself is awesome, and the head-to head matches against others is always fun. Loads of devastating weapons, and lots of baddies. For shooters this one is very hard to beat. There are interesting missions, where besides being able to blast the heck out of stuff, you have to use a little intelligence to be able to succesfully complete the mission without taking the cheap...

Halo 2 is the and all be all of the Halo games. After playing all three games to death, this one shines above the rest. Countless hours of tweeking and repetition have made this the overall best halo experience.
The main game is the best here in my opinion because of the intertwined story. 1 was good and 3 was blah, but this is truly the ebst one overall.

At the end of the day sure I say this is the best but that is because this game has definite advantages over the other ones. I compeltely suggest all three but this is the one that I foudn myself coming back to the most.

The deep story continues, picking up where the third book left off. More weapons than the first, an even better multiplayer than the best console multiplayer ever, and a lot more to do. The story is short, but people buy this for the multiplayer anyway. The game is tightly designed, adding in more of everything, and you can't hate it, even if you try. Definetly worth a try.

Halo 2 is a great game for the Xbox or Xbox 360. The multiplayer is much better than any other shooting game I've played, though I haven't gotten around to buying/playing Halo 3 yet. The weapons are much better than I thought they'd be and there's a lot of them. One of the best games I've ever played and definately the best shooting game I've played.

Despite a rather short campaign and a disappointing storyline, Halo 2 is an exceptional shooter that frequently delivers thrilling, memorable, and unique moments in its online, co-op, and single-player modes. The online multiplayer is deeply enjoyable, and the music in the single player mode is simply grand. Halo 2 is the must have for the Xbox.

Even though i play it almost every time someone comes over, i rarely get tired of playing Halo 2 with my friends. The game is easy to pick up, but also allows experienced gamers to  excel. However, the single player campaign mode leaves a rather annoying and anticlimatic cliffhanger that might disappoint players.

Halo 2 for Xbox is a fantastic game. I've played this game ever since I got it. My whole family loves to play mainly every day. I recommend this game to any who would try it. It is filled with weapons and action. More than one player can play it at once. You can also access it on online.

Too much hype - but not bad for all that

This wasn't bad, but WAY over-hyped.  Space version of Doom 3D (yeah, I'm dating myself with that comment, but get over it.  People my age are MAKING the games, remember?)  All in all it's a decent hack & slash/1p shooter, but it isn't all that.
