Did you ever fantasize about being a guitar hero? Now you can be one. Sort of. The Xbox 360 Guitar Hero 2 (with guitar) game brings out the musician in our gamers. You start out with Career, Multiplayer, Practice, and Quickplay modes and, as you progress, more modes are available. Choose to play solo or in multiplayer mode and, when you're ready, face off with an opponent to see who the real guitar hero is. The list of songs is wide and varied and our reviewers, while lamenting that the game is tough at first, find it completely addicting. Have a PS2? I bought this game two weeks ago and I can not stop playing it. I had been hearing great things about "the guitar game" for Playstation 2. When I found out the second in the series, Guitar Hero 2, was going to be available for the Xbox 360, I had to have it.

Guitar Hero 2 (with guitar) is one of the most widespread lamest games I've played. It's set up in every Best Buy and most people who don't play video games play Guitar hero. My point is it's not a real video game. It's a 2D simulation game. You only need a few fingers, one eye, and a little coordination... review »

OH YEAHHHHHH!!! The first ever Guitar Hero video game rocked everyone's world thanks to the bytchin' real heavy music and damn fine guitar controller that really made you feel like you were electrifying a big crowd on stage and then getting some after the show. The game was the perfect kick to the balls the gaming universe needed and we wanted an encore. Guitar Heroes part 1 and part deux already rocked hard on your grandpa's Playstation2 and it was F'N awesome there but now it's ready to get a all new record deal with the rich bastards over at Microsoft and their 360 love box, baby! I just have to say, I love this game! For about a year now I have been trying to learn to play the actual guitar and I have to say that after playing guitar hero 2 I got better at the actual guitar. I started to understand rhythem and timing a little more. I think this game teaches hand/eye coordination. This game is also fun in general to play! My husband and I play the multi-player together all the time. I love the fact that we can do it together. The song are a A-. They aren't bad. I now definetly have all of them memorized and can sing them probably backwards. Anyway, this is a great game for... review »

ome of the most fun I've had playing games in the last few years was going a couple of rounds of Guitar Hero with a few friends. It's a fantastic party game and if you've never played it, you owe it to yourself to check it out. This, much like SingStar and Dance Dance Revolution, is a title that's going to appeal highly to your "non-traditional" gamer crowd. I could, honestly, fawn over how much fun it is for hours, but there were a couple of things about the 360 version of this game that I wanted to bring up.

First, I know there are a ton of you out there that have a PS2 version of this already....

Guitar Hero two. Is a really fun good game. It can be played by any one at any age. It is a challenging game, but all the time fun. I absolutely love this game.  Great songs and it's extremely addicting.  I love the guitar that came with it, too.  The only problem with it is that the whammy bar gets loose, and I find myself wasting precious fractions of a second looking for it, when I could be gaining extra star power.

There are very fun songs in this game, and I recognized almost all of them (I'm 18), even though there aren't many modern songs (although "Dead" by My Chemical Romance is in there).  "Sweet Child of Mine" by Guns n' Roses is my favorite, and I can play it all night without getting tired of it one bit.  There...

Guitar Hero is a game for the ages. Music that I could not get my children to listen or like they love now, because of Guitar Hero. I am so impressed with the concept of this game. These Guitar Hero games are the best games that have ever come out. I've ALWAYS wanted to elarn to play guitar so got the first game, finished that then got all the other versions. Friends also have a guitar so you can battle against each other with 2 guitars. Can lpay against each other or WITH each other, one person on harmony the other on rhythm. There are several challengin modes. beginner for those who've never played guitar. Then 3 other levels that get harder, which you can earn money on to buy new guitars, songs, characters and so forth. Maybe im not the right person to be reviewing Guitar maybe because im a girl but I love this game i think its the best thing because you actually have a guitar in your hand and it feels so real.If you have an Xbox 360 , love rock , and have $100 , your in luck!!!The best part is you can download content and it has online leaderboards. For the people who aren't familiar with the Guitar Hero , The guitar controller has a strumming button, and five color-coded fret buttons on the neck of the guitar. Also it has onscreen notes color coded the same way as the fret buttons travel down the screen.

Easy to play, and hard to master!! I  only got this game because I found the package at a thrift store for $30 bucks.... Even though I cannot do much past the medium level, I am intending on buying GH 3. There's enough variety of songs that anyone who likes rock will find one of their favorites on here. I love hooking my 360 up to the projector, and jamming out through my stereo system to this game. The fact that each "turn" is the length of a song means that even with one controller, you can have a group of people over to enjoy it with you. Check it out!!! You'll have fun.

This game is great for hand eye coordination, If you love music than this is the game for you. There are songs for every user ranging from easy to expert. Just because you know how to play a real guitar does not mean you will get this game. The only real problem I've had with this game is the controllers. These don't last very long before buttons stop working and/or Your star power wont work. So if you don't have the money to go buy new guitars every three months, Then get used to not being able to get 100 percent status or use star power on any of the songs.

They made this for ME! Combine the XBOX360....Superior Graphics, Truely impressive speed, Highly responsive to user input.....

Guitar!, Nothing not to love here! And, it is NOT too hard! Any true gamer can play this! Takes practice, sure....but being able to REALLY play ANY game takes practice.

They've just combined two of my greatest loves, GAMING and GUITAR.

My only complaint....Great Music but Need More of it!!!!!

More variety....I'm into Rock but also like Hip-Hop

Oh, NEXT...How about something for DRUMS!

this game is great for the closet rocker who wishes they were good at guitar. I'm a drummer so I have a rpetty good sense of rythem, which no doubt helped me pick up this game quickly, once I did, I couldn't put it down. its very rewarding starting on easy and then after a short while climbing the ranks and plowing through songs on hard and expert. I'm not one of the people who cna play all the hardest songs on Expert without missing many notes... but this game has a good amount of replayability and is a GREAT party game.

From Aerosmith, ACDC, Guns N Roses...all the way to motley cru-this game will have you addicited! Plus, it makes you feel like a true rockstar when you are hitting all the notes.  As you string your guitar and press your fingers on the colored buttons, music comes alive.  As you hit it, you can either hit it good or bad.  You wil get booed if you do bad-but cheered longfully if you hit it correctly.  Each song gets harder and you can chose your level of experience.  A great Christmas Gift!!
