Xbox - 360 Console —

My wife and I purchased the xbox 360 seven months ago, and seven months to the day it crashed with the dreaded "red ring of fire". The game system, accessories and games were supposed to be a big birthday present for five of our children. Since we are on a limited budget, we thought one big gift would be great for them and the whole family. What we got was a huge disappointment! The 360 does have a large library of games, but we found out that the games requiring a lot of memory like "oblivion" had trouble loading from day one. For as much as the console costs, it should at least be able to keep up with the games made for it. But that was'nt the case. Last week I had to purchase packing material to send it away for repairs. When I researched deeper into the xbox 360 dilemma, I found out that there are countless hundreds or maybe even thousands of families out there with breakdown issues with the 360 who have owned it for less than a year. When I took our broken 360 to UPS for shipping, I asked if they have to send 360's in often. The women looked at me with one of those "youv'e got to be kidding" looks and said "its a bad day if we don't ship at least 3 to 4 per day for repairs. I also found out that there have been many law suits against Microsoft (the maker of the 360) for this very same problem. One customer rep told me that the 360 has a failure rate of 61% but Microsoft will not admit to it. The other difficulty I had was with customer support. I called Microsoft about five times about this single issue, but only once did I speak to someone who's English was plain enough to understand. Our family is fed up with Microsoft and I would warn anyone to think twice and do their research before investing in a 360
