The Xbox 360 Arcade model is a great replacement for anyone who's had rrod (Red Ring Of Death, being when the console "dies" and the green lights on the front turn red), and currently have a hard drive. Leaving aside the lack of suitable hard drive, not cheaply obtained, it is an absolute gem.
It comes with built in HDMI port so that one can just plug directly into an appropriate T.V panel and it works perfectly.
I personally have my box plugged into my computer via the ethernet adapter and running Xbox Live through the computers internet connection. Once again, perfectly. And with this particular set up you can then stream any videos that you have on your PC through the Xbox, making them beautifully watchable on whatever T.V you happen to be using.
The only thing one could be nervous about is the, shall I say it, inevitable failure of the disc drive or some other component known only to the people who fix them. To quell this there has been an extended warranty attached to every unit sold. If you're not lazy and don't mind a run around for something that probably shouldn't have broken.
