It's completely ridiculous to pay for satellite radio!  You have to be out of your mind to pay for something you can get for free!  But.........I do, and I'm addicted.   Is it practical?  Oh hell no, but I can't help myself, cause the music is fine, and the sound is… read full review »

I got a 3-month trial of XM Satelite Radio when I purchased a new vehicle.  I love that there are sports channels for my husband, kids channels for my little ones and an assortment of channels for me.  The one thing that kept me from continuing with XM is that every night on my 12-minute… read full review »

About four years ago I discovered XM Satellite Radio.  Now I'm afraid, there's just no turning back. — Are you a Fellow-Traveler? — No, I don't mean that in the "Joe McCarthy" sense of of the term.  You can continue breathing now. — XM Satellite Radio, with its over 130 stations (most commercial-free) can appeal to anyone, but it has real appeal to those of use who do some long distance driving.  you know, those drives that leave you hitting the scan button on your AM/FM radio looking for a signal, any signal that will pierce the night.  In… read full review »

At one point in my life, I literally thought that you must be insane to pay for audio programming...why pay for something that is available for free on any AM/FM radio?  That was until all of that same AM/FM programming became very stale and I became annoyed with what seemed like endless commercial breaks. — About a year ago, I looked into what seemed to be my only two options at the time -- XM and Sirius.  I chose XM because there were better compatible portable players available....and for just $12.95 a month, I would have access to over 170 channels of satelitte radio… read full review »

I love my x-m radio!!!  There is an amazing variety of stations to choose from, so it's never boring.  Whether you want background music for a dinner party or just company when you're by yourself, this is the way to go.  — There are times when my satellite goes out if the wind is blowing so I presume it's because the (very tall) trees in my yard move.  Otherwise, I have no complaints. — I love being able to take it with me on road trips.  — And, the family plan is so very reasonable that even though divorced, I still pay for my… read full review »

I enjoy my portable XM satelite receiver because I can listen to it in the car or in the house. I can record the songs I like and listen to them later or over and over if I want to. It's so cheap for me to get the pre paid minutes anywhere. Actually about to purchase another receiver so if I want to take the portable receiver to work I can and have another in the car. The only thing I don't like is the portable receiver in the car does not get good reception when it's cloudy and you can forget it if it's… read full review »

I got XM Radio for Christmas 2 years ago from my wife, who thought that was what I wanted.  It couldn't have been farther from the truth!  At that point I thought it was stupid to pay for radio, when I can get it free.  Since she had invested in the equipment and service, I thought I'd give it a try and loved it! — — You simply can't compare FM radio with XM.  XM not only has so many more options, but it is by far much better quality, with few commercials.   In larger cities they even have land based towers to supply you with a signal, where larger… read full review »

I've been an XM subscriber for over 2 1/2 years.  Now it's become the background of my life! — My favorite stations are 202 and 164.  202 is the Virus, which plays Opie and Anthony and Ron and Fez all day.  I am a much bigger fan of Ron & Fez...they are more of an edgy, intelligent extreme talk show, while O& A can have more of a frat house humor.  Both contain "extreme language", but you can have the channel  (and other channels such as extreme rap and metal)   blocked.  164 has old time radio shows.  Now, I am nowhere near that age....but… read full review »

I thought my husband was quackers when he said he wanted to get an XM radio for the car. I'm like, what's wrong with the regular FM/AM stations? Well, he talked me into it (he always does) and we got one for our van. — — Well, to me, regular radio has nothing compared to XM radio! So what is XM radio? XM radio is a service provided my XM where you receive satellite  radio stations in your vehicle. You receive over 230 stations of all types of genres. I enjoy listening to the Christian station, Radio Disney, The 60's station, XM Hitlist, Flight 26 and more. You can also… read full review »

Two years ago, my husband stopped to look at the satellite radio display in a local retail store. He read the information, and told me that it sounded like a good idea. We spoke to several of his friends who have XM radio, and they all recommended it highly. Since it was in the fall of the year, I said nothing more to my husband about it, but waited until I went to town without him and bought the Delphi Roady 2 Satellite Receiver. I then came home and contacted XM radio to activate my subscription. — Christmas morning, my dear husband was overjoyed to unwrapped the Delphi reciever, and… read full review »

I'd been considering satellite radio for years before I actually got one. My main reason for not purchasing at the beginning was only being able to listen in the car. They then developed a unit that could be moved from the car to a home base. I was still intrigued, but the thing that really made me get serious about satellite were the totally portable units like the Helix. I now have XM radio wherever I go. The size of cell phone, the unit streams live music (unlike previous portable models) and has the ability to download too. Whether straight off the air, or an upload from your computer,… read full review »

My husband had XM in his shop, provided by a friend. It was to hard to know that good music was available but just not over the airwaves. I had to get one of my own for the house. I now can listen to Blues, Christian, Talk or Bluegrass as my mood changes. It is so nice to have choices beyond regular radio which leaves you mostly the choice between country or classic rock. — I have nejoyed it so much I pay for my son in law to have one of his own in the mountians where they get nearly no regular radio. I can't wait for the merger, as then I can get a couple programs that are on… read full review »

XM is a must for everyone with a daily drive! The selections and variety are terrific, the price is right, and you can get great deals on equipment! — My husband and I have had XM for about 4 years now, and I would get rid of my Direct TV before I gave up my satellite radio! Being able to easily switch between a number of channels that play my favorite music genre (alternative), talk channels (love that Air America!) and public radio programming has me spoiled. — … read full review »

I love XM radio! It is much better than Sirius.  I find XM plays the newest and best songs! I also love how you can see what song and artist is playing on the radio.  I am a college student and go home every weekend which is an hour and half away and hate changing the radio station.  I also love to travel and am always going to football games and on vacations.  It goes with me everywhere and i'm not having to change the… read full review »

XM Radio is Great.  They Have Baseball all season long, and for a yankees fan, that is just awesome.  I am also still stuck in the 80's, so the xm bone yard, and 80's channel are great for me.  I was also very pleased to hear that they had a Chanukkah Channel.  The only one thing that I don't like is that there is only one Big East Channel, and I am a UCONN Fan, so it makes it kind of hard to listen to the basketball… read full review »
