Great variety but COMMERCIALS?!

I got a 3-month trial of XM Satelite Radio when I purchased a new vehicle.  I love that there are sports channels for my husband, kids channels for my little ones and an assortment of channels for me.  The one thing that kept me from continuing with XM is that every night on my 12-minute commute to work, I have to listen to 3 minutes of commercials about how to control your disrespectful kids or the wonders of Pro-Active.  I expect that from regular radio but I refuse to PAY to hear that garbage.
