I thought my husband was quackers when he said he wanted to get an XM radio for the car. I'm like, what's wrong with the regular FM/AM stations? Well, he talked me into it (he always does) and we got one for our van.
Well, to me, regular radio has nothing compared to XM radio! So what is XM radio? XM radio is a service provided my XM where you receive satellite radio stations in your vehicle. You receive over 230 stations of all types of genres. I enjoy listening to the Christian station, Radio Disney, The 60's station, XM Hitlist, Flight 26 and more. You can also listen to theater productions, old radio shows, The Weather Channel, traffic stations, sports and more.
It costs between $19.99 and $149.99 or so to get the radio for your car, if you have it installed professionally, you have to add those costs to the product. You can pay monthly or yearly for the service. The longer you pay for, the cheaper it is per month.
We have it and I won't go back to the regular radio. Okay, I do listen to regular radio in my husband's car, he doesn't have the XM in his car. But overall, I enjoy the XM radio not only around town, but on trips across several states where I don't have to worry about bringing CD's or searching for radio stations in each new town.
I think it's something everyone should try if they have the chance!
