O.K......first let me start by saying: as a parent of three, I know how toys can entice kids, but I also know how some of them are a flash in the pan. They use it a few times, then it gets thrown in the growing heap. That is why I usually do not buy real expensive toys.

it worked for a week, then never worked again

I bought this Wow Wee Robo raptor about a week before it stopped working. This toy was a lot of fun to mess with for a little while. And then... it stopped responding to the remote control. I had to point the remote directly at the receptor and then click the button a quite a few times for it to do what I wanted it to. Soon after it stopped responding to the remote control, the batteries died. It was fun scaring my dog with its roaring and stomping effects. Very dissapointed gald I didn't pay full price

My son wanted this for his birthday but my husband and I went into sticker shock.  Fortunatly a friend of ours with an older son was getting rid of his.  We bought it from them at a fraction fo the cost.  This was good because it doesn't do half the things it's supposed to.  we can bairly get it to walk.  We have wood, tile, and low pile carpets in out house.  We have tried to get it to move on all three surfaces.  It walks VERY VERY slowly. After attempting to play with it for about two days it mostly sits around my 7 year olds room gathering dust.  When he does play with it he mustly... review »
