This toy is rated for ages 8 and up. That is one thing that must be taken into consideration. BUT this toy is so much FUN! There are 3 different modes, Hunter, Playful, and Cautious. The toy reacts in different ways to all 3 modes. There are touch sensors over the body, so not only can you "pet" the toy, but it also avoids walls, chairs and other obstacles.

This is just a very very neat toy.
