Worthington Oak Jewelry Armoire from J.C. Penney Review

Quick View: I have loads of jewelry. Some is costume, novelty stuff but some is pricey and precious. I have a number of small jewelry boxes but needed something BIG. My husband bought me this large standing armoire and it is such a dream. I love it and it has held up very well.

About the Worthington Oak Jewelry Armoire from J.C. Penney

This armoire may be available at other stores but I wanted you to know exactly which one I am speaking of so, if you decide to buy it, you get the right one. This armoire is a beautiful piece of furniture. It looks like a mini dresser and stands on the floor with three small and four large drawers that are velvet lined. You can fit a lot of stuff in those drawers and they do NOT fall out when they are opened like cheaper jewelry box drawers (I hate that!). This also features two side doors with several hooks to hold necklaces or bracelets. There are elastic straps that hold down the longer items so they don't swing around when you open the doors. The top opens to reveal velvet lined compartments. There are six ring rolls and a large compartment for earrings or other small items. The lid is mirrored. The whole thing stands at 16¾x12x40¾"H.

This armoire also comes in cherry and is all wood, not particle board or anything like that. It's Queen Anne/Victorian style and looks as good as it functions. I have tons of stuff in mine and use it constantly and have never had any issues with the hardware, the drawers, or any other working part. The finish is beautiful and I am very happy I have this. I recently bought another armoire at AJ Wright for about $29.99 and it was complete junk. It fell apart in week. This one is a bit pricey at around $139.99 but definitely worth the cost. Why put your precious jewelry in a junkie jewelry box? This armoire is everything I want. I just want another one to continue organizing my jewelry. I doubt hubby will fall for that but it's true. If I just had ONE more, I wouldn't need all the smaller boxes I use now. (Written in a whiny voice for my husband's benefit since my birthday is coming up...)

My Viewpoint

There are load of cheap particle board or plastic jewelry boxes but the Worthington Oak Jewelry Armoire from J.C. Penney is truly a piece of quality furniture and holds an amazing amount of jewelry of all sizes. Jewelry is protected by thick velvet and the armoire is made very, very well. I highly recommend this armoire to any woman who wants to keep her jewelry organized and safe - and in a nice looking holder. $139.99 isn't really expensive for such a lovely piece of furniture that is as well made as this. I love mine and WILL get a second one at some point! 5 stars.
