Just like Leonard... the Worst Movies has a part 6 and if you get my rotten joke, then I'm sorry that you too have been exposed to terrible movies like Leonard Part 6 ( A Bill Cosby mistake).
Here's some more movies you should not waste your time watching and should certainly not waste your money renting or buying. If you hate someone bad enough to give them one of these movies, you probably should donate the money you spent to charity.
Let the suckage continue:
Grease 2 (1982) Director: Patricia Birch Starring: Maxwell Caulfield, Michelle Pfeiffer, Adrian Zmed, Lorna Luft, Didi Conn, Eve Arden, Sid Caesar, Dody Goodman, Tab Hunter, Connie Stevens
Greedy Paramount Pictures returned to Rydell High School in hopes that greased lightnin' would strike twice. It didn't. It wasn't based on a successful Broadway show. It didn't star John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John and it had mediocre songs and lame choreography. It features one of Michelle Pfeifer's first performances-but it's a big so what. What were they thinking? That the public was stupid enough to go for something like this? Well the public wasn't that stupid.... for once.
The Guardian (1990) Director William Friedkin
Directors, even good ones sometimes make movies that aren't very good. Friedkin who's made The French Connection and The Exorcist has made a quite a few mis-fires like Cruising and Deal of the Century and the what the heck was he thinking -- Jade. But this one is quite the embarrassing wretched mess of a film that he should never ever have made. The new nanny hired by a yuppie couple for their children is a very strange lady. She likes to fee badies to a monster tree.. yes I said TREE. This is all done very seriously and there's impressively staged scenes in terms involving lighting, camera work, editing and music, but some tree branches breaking through windows is just waaaay too ridiculous and silly to be scary. Stick with the that great campy 1950s monster walking tree strump movie : FROM HELL IT CAME or the mad apple trees in the haunted forest of The Wizard of Oz if you want scary trees.
Gymkata (1985) Director: Robert Clouse Starring: Kurt Thomas, Tetchie Agbayani, Richard Norton, Edward Bell
Ah let's get the guy who directed Enter the Dragon to make a martial arts kind of film with America's first Male Gold winning Olympic gymnast, Kurt Thomas. Thomas is a world class gymnast and works for the government. He's sent to a small country in Europe to be part of THE GAME which is a maze sure to kill him. If he makes it through he can leave the country alive and the country grants him one favor. The favor is to allow the U.S. to install a "Star Wars" satellite in their country to keep the world at peace. They don't ask for money, they want to put Kurt through this test. And every time Kurt needs a piece of gymnastic equipment.. it seems to magically appear for him to use. Wow. How convenient.
Harlem Nights (1989) Director: Eddie Murphy Starring: Eddie Murphy, Richard Pryor, Redd Foxx, Danny Aiello, Michael Lerner, Della Reese, Berlinda Tolbert, Stan Shaw, Jasmine Guy, Lela Rochon, Arsenio Hall, Robin Harris
Eddie wanted to direct a movie and have the people he admired be in his movie. He was such a big money-making star, Paramount said yes, Eddie, yes, you can do this movie. Yes, please co-write it and direct it and we'll give you final cut on it and that way you can make it exactly like you want to. So Eddie makes what amounts to a bad Cotton Club movie full of people saying the m-f- word a whole lots of times. It's 1930s Harlem and there's this gambling club run by Richard Pryor and his son (played by Murphy). They try to outsmart a pair of white mobsters that want a piece of their action. It's one of Murphy's worst films, even though he's insisted on making a few other really lousy bad movies. In case you wonder if Eddie thought it was a good movie? He promised that he would never direct a movie again-so I don't think he believes it was very good.
The Hearse (1980) It's got people you may have heard of....Trish Van Devere and Joseph Cotten (Citizen Kane, Third Man.... okay then, Lady Frankenstein ) and it has a little bit of style to it... Okay a camera guy who can use smoke and keep things in focus. But nothing really happens until the very end... and then not much. Ooh... there's that Hearse outside again.... does it mean I'm going to die? ooh.... what does it mean? I DON'T CARE AND NEITHER WILL YOU.
THE HIGHLANDER SEQUELS STiNK.
Highlander 2: The Quickening (1991)
Director: Russell Mulcahy Starring: Christopher Lambert, Virginia Madsen, Michael Ironside, Sean Connery, John C. McGinley, Allan Rich, Phil Brock, Rusty Schwimmer
An environmental terrorist group is out to destroy the shield which protects the Earth from the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays and that 16th Century immortal Scottish warrior (Christopher Lambert) must save the day. The director's cut (sometimes called "The Renegade Version") doesn't help make the convoluted plot any easier to get through and it's 19 minutes longer. Lambert gets to 'act' like an old man... Cardboard with a slightly shaky voice is still cardboard. I was amazed Connery returned even briefly.
Highlander 3: The Final Dimension (1994)
Director: Andy Morahan Starring: Christopher Lambert, Mario Van Peebles, Deborah Unger, Mako, Raoul Trujillo, Martin Neufeld, Michael Jayston
It's worse then #2. No Connery at all. And it might be the Final Dimension but it wasn't the last movie. Mario van Peebles is a sorcerer who is trying to rule the world. It's set up in New York city and Lambert is that 16th century Immortal Scotsman and the only guy in the universe who can stop him. Wait.. I know...EJECT. There.. stopped.
Highlander 4: Endgame (2000)
Director: Douglas Aarniokoski Starring: Christopher Lambert, Adrian Paul, Bruce Payne, Lisa Barbuscia, Donnie Yen, Ian Paul Cassidy, Peter Wingfield
WHAT? MORE? It makes little sense it's a mess in which Lambert teams up with his brother (Adrian Paul), to battle an old enemy. Adrian Paul was the guy who was in the t.v. series THE HIGHLANDER and there was actually a movie released of two of the shows episodes which included an appearance of Lambert in which Paul and Lambert battle bad guy Richard Moll (it was called:Highlander: The Gathering) Do you care? WHY?
