He could have shown the plane crashing into tower one. He could have shown the next plane crashing into tower two. He could have shown the third plane crashing into the pentagon.

He showed none of that.

He could have given us political spin.

He gave us none of that.

He showed us people in danger of being buried alive from a terrorist attack. He showed police desperately trying to evacuate the buildings only to be buried and trapped under a pile of rubble.

He showed the worried, mournful expressions and dialog of the victims' families. A pregnant wife wants to scream and cry like a little girl,...

Many years have now passed since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 and with the passing of time, more people are coming forward to share their 9/11 experiences. It was only a matter of time until Hollywood made movies about this event and there are now at least a couple of movies about these attacks. One of them is World Trade Center, a movie that focuses on two men and their fight to survive.

I wasn't sure I wanted to watch this movie.The events of this tragic day have been played and replayed so many times in the media, I wasn't sure I could watch one more thing about it. It's just too heart-wrenching.

However, the film was very tastefully done. The characters are involving without the plot getting too melodramatic. I'm not the biggest fan of Oliver Stone, but I think this was well done. And as the mother of a Marine, I had to love the self-imposed search & rescue mission of the Marine who found the trapped officers.

Overall, the film left me with a feeling of hope and encouragement...
