AWESOME product!

Like 90% of America, I'm trying to lose weight. Even though I don't support a low carb lifestyle, I am trying to limit my carbs and the amount of processed foods that I eat. I tried making veggie noodles myself with a vegetable peeler and a sharp knife. It took 45 minutes to get noodles from two zucchini, and there was a lot of waste. Then I saw a YouTube video for the Spiralizer. This thing is life changing! It has three blades, it comes apart very easily, which is great for clean up, and I was able to have noodles (or zoodles) from three zucchini in less than five minutes. I've used it a few times now since ordering it, and I'm still loving it. It's dishwasher safe, small enough to fit in a cabinet, and has helped me make "pasta" dinners a little healthier. No one seems to miss the real noodles! Ease of Cleaning Everything comes apart easily & it's dishwasher safe.

my new favorite kitchen tool; a must for veggie-lovers

I bought this because I was eager to try the zucchini "noodles" I'd seen in so many magazine recipes, but I was worried that this tool would be a one-trick pony. Not the case! I have been using it several times a week to slice radishes, squash, carrots, beets, cucumbers, and of course, zucchini. It makes any raw veggie palatable, because it slicers the veggie paper-thin, giving it a tender texture and lots of surface areas to absorb a dressing or marinade. A few spiral slices of a brightly-colored veggie looks awesome in a salad. On the downside, I have found it a bit hard to clean. Little pieces of veggie tend to get stuck in between the blade and the edge of the blade holder, and I have to brush really hard with a dishwashing brush to get it off. Also, the white plastic is slowly becoming discolored from veggie juice. It comes with 3 sizes of blades. So far I have really only found the smallest one useful. That one makes thin ribbons about the size of a linguini noodle. The other sizes are just too large to be useful. I could cut with a knife instead without getting out the apparatus.

Great for making vegetable "pastas"

Anyone interested in experimenting with raw food preparation, or just healthier eating in general, will enjoy this kitchen gadget, which will easily turn vegetables (zuccini, cucumbers, yellow squash, etc.) into beautiful ribbons of "noodles."  There are three blades to choose from, which will allow you to create different types of ribbons, from very fine "spaghetti" style to a wider "linguine" style.  It's amazing how closely you can replicate any noodle dish with fresh, spiral-cut vegetables simply by creating a unique sauce, for example a marinara or a peanut sauce.  The results are delicious.  You can also use it to make apple ribbons, which my son loves to eat even more than he loves to eat whole or sliced apples! The World Cuisine Spiral Slicer is sturdy without being fancy, which means it's much more affordable than some of the higher-end slicers.  It's pretty easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning (but you do have to be careful with those blades!) and it's actually pretty fun to use!  Kids love to help make dinner when the spiral slicer comes out, and it's safe for them (with adult supervision, of course) to help because they never come in contact with the blades! My only complaint is that it's a little bit bulky to store in a cupboard, but that's a common complaint for a lot of kitchen gadgets!
